The Pens are hot, winning 5 in a row. By taking down the Bs, they forced a 3 way tie for first place, with the Crapitals and Islanders. All three have 50 points. The next nearest team is Boston with 41 and the rest of the division being left behind. At least a playoff position is looking like a real possibility.

 

So does that mean all the pens fans are going to come back?

 

Don't know dude. I just joined in late November and had to wait 60 days to post. Why, you worried or something? By the way, what team does a guy from AL root for? I don't see you ever mention a team. In fact, I went back all the way to when I first posted on this thread and everyone of your 5 posts during this time (LOL) are all trolling comments. Is that your game here?

I didn't get to watch the game. I got home late and just saw highlights. Desmith sure has been awesome (as has Jarry.) It's really cool that the team has played hard with a lot of names out of the line-up. Hopefully they keep it up. It's like they are playing so much smarter than they have been previously (where they looked like the were so loose and playing pick-up hockey.) The need to continue doing that because they don't have the speed/skill advantage to think that they can dance around teams like they did n 16-17.

 

Top 9 teams within 3 points of each other. Pretty good season with the layout.

 

I can't remember the last time Letang made a bone head play. The D overall is much better than the last few years. Matheson is looking good, although I hated to see Horny go. I think he got injured a few weeks ago? I saw highlights on the NHL channel where somebody got him good. He's one tough guy though.

 

I am ready for Torts to retire. Even though the CBJ are playing like garbage, they're somehow still in the hunt.

 

Yes, Letang has been so much better, which is key. And Matheson is for sure a play maker. A bit risky at times, but I like him. And I do miss Hornqvist too but it's almost like Sulli wasn't using him correctly, the last year or so anyways. And yes, he got exploded. I saw that game.

 

I don't think Tortorella will get another coaching gig if he leaves Columbus - at least not for some time. Most teams seem to be looking for that up and coming coach.

 

If I remember correctly, his contract is up at the end of the season. But yeah, I agree... out with the old school coaching and in with the new blood.

 

I'd be 100% in favor of keeping these divisions, though I know that won't happen. It's been great watching the coverage with only Canadian teams in this division and the stories it creates.

I was busy washing my truck all afternoon, so I didn't get to see the Pen - Bruins game. From the highlights I saw the Bs were buzzing and lit up the scoreboard. Pittsburgh has always had a tough time beating Boston, and have only won 2 of 6 against them so far this year.

 

Tough one but it happens.

 

I wonder where Hall is going? He's sitting tonight supposedly.

 

Wherever he lands, he will likely be a happier person tomorrow than today. Such is the life in pro sports. Everybody wants to be on a winner.
