Got my second Covid shot yesterday. No real bad reaction; my arm is sore and my posts are showing up backwards and upside down.

    Good morning fools day.

I was laughing this morning, the memory of my dear sweet Nana and her endless humor. Sharpest tongue, but if you blinked, you missed her joke/pun. She passed on April 1st, 1971. Born in 1883, she passed away at age 88.

Pool folks were out. More freeze damage repairs. New heater (we can use the hot tub once again), new salt cell, new Jandy valves. Still waiting on Booster Pump (for Polaris sweep). Getting there.

The CFX3 75DZ arrived. I still have a bunch of aluminum around here, so I need to make up my own slide from my scrap pile. The Alu Cab slides look pretty, but at $499, I better use up some scrap material first before SWMBO catches on. Hmm, when is my next medical study? I'll take Vanilla Ice Cream and Rootbeer to my next Parkinson's Boxing Class for a post-workout treat for the group.

Happy April 1st! It was 7 years ago today I submitted my letter of intent of retirement. I began the letter stating that this was not an April fools joke. The pressure, stress and anxiety of my job had become overwhelming. Once I submitted my letter I was a different person. Happy, relaxed, mellow. Even my wife said I was noticeably a happier better person. I gave 6 months notice but those last 6 months went quickly. I delegated 90% of my duties and responsibilities to my people and sat back in my office and smiled. I love retirement.
Predicted to be 86 degrees here in Northern California today. Going to start planting my veggie garden.
    Be safe.

    Afternoon all:
Guess the rest of you can read this!
When I saw my posts I thought WTH, so went to windows security to do a scan to see if I had been hacked or something else going on, I selected full scan and it wouldn't let me do a full scan, WTH, so went to windows defender offline and did a scan and then back to windows defender which now let me do a full scan, found 2 Trojans and took action to remove them.
With the backward posts and not being able to do a full scan for the first time ever, thought OH OH something isn't right, have I been hacked or what, with online banking and brokerage accounts online, I get paranoid over stuff like this!!!
THEN PM'd a member who informed me that it was an April fools joke by the mods.
I would like to thank the idiot who came up with this, if it's a mod. they should be removed. Ken got a time out for posting something political, but it seems like if you cause someone a headache over a joke it's OK.
Hate to be a party pooper, but I'm not too amused at all !!!

Spring has arrived! A annual visitor of ours has left for Alaska, or somewhere up north. He's a Golden Plover, known as Kolea here. It is said that the same bird will winter in the same place every year, in our case the park across the street. I'm always amazed that these little birds can fly all the way to Alaska and come back every year.

Tried to get a pic, but he was always camera shy.

Good morning everyone!! Screwy weather day here yesterday. We ended up with a bit more than an inch of snow which was all melted by late afternoon. Then at about 6:30 it started snowing again...hard. Coated the ground and then melted. Then it snowed again and partially melted. Then is snowed again...and most of it seems to have blown somewhere - just a bit hanging around on the sloped areas shielded from the wind. A cold day today and then we start to see some 50s again.

On the good news side, in 30 days or so we'll be opening our pool.

    Stay safe and warm!!

Welcome to the porch Dan. Post up a pic of your Tacoma.

The cardiologist visit went extremely well yesterday. Did a full sonogram scans with no issues detected to the heart, carotid arteries, legs, and abdomen. I have a nuclear stress test scheduled for next Wednesday.

Today is a mellow day, just laundry and a trip to Harris Teeter for items I need for eater dinner. And of course practice the guitar.

    Good Morning all,

Nuke stress test went well, actually easier than the first stress test with the dye. The staff at the hospital were awesome not to mention the PA that monitored the actual treadmill part of the test was very pretty... The nurse (Dan) noticed my backpack so we talked mostly about hunting elk, I know the area he hunts. The tech was a student but she was awesome and very nice. Took a little while to get to my max heart rate again but in this case that is a good sign. Results were posted last night now I am waiting on the cardiologist to call and decipher what it all means.

Warm weekend predicted (for here anyway warm is in the low 50's this time of year).

Have a great day everyone - be safe
