That looks like a doable set up also! What is the name of that star looking thing?

I ordered one of these I believe —

    https://www.belmetric.com/tee-nut-z...nut-extended-barrel-pronged-zinc-p-11714.html

that said, I decided I didn’t like the camera angle after a few weeks and removed the little sticky foam pad I had underneath the camera. However, then the extended barrel nut was too long and I switched back to the standard one.

Used a YotaLED bracket to mount.

While I’m here… some more photos of the mounting location and the front camera view I ended up with.

How's the view mounted lower vs above the emblem?
Just to confirm you used the yotaled bracket and the standard nut?

You’ll have to check the thread (or others) for alternate views from different locations. Moving the camera requires some fiddling and unplugging camera from the harness.

I used the standard length pronged tee nut to hold the washer in place behind the YotaLED bracket. Ran the camera wire through the tee nut. Inside of mount looks exactly like ziggy’s post #55, except his is above the emblem.

Gotcha, just didn't know if mounted higher or lower was better. Only want to mount and connect it once. Haha.

It really comes down to personal preference I think. Mounting above the emblem may be easier as I think the grill’s “thickness” is a hair less, if that makes sense. Seemed easier to get the tee nut to grab the threads on the camera. More “play” room.

The gap beneath the emblem is slightly bigger/deeper than the one on top, which is why I thought I needed the extended barrel nut. But, as I found out, removing the small angled foam pads that come with the natika camera helped the threads poke through the grill a little further and that made the extended barrel too long so it wouldn’t tighten down all the way into the grill.

It took some trial and error for sure. I know it’s a lot, but I hope that helps, even if only a little.

This thread, and whole forum tbf, have helped me make some mods that I never thought I’d be able to handle on my own. Love it.

Awesome, thank you for the info. I just ordered the little bracket from yotaled. Going to switch out the chrome grille surround for a black one before I do the camera!
