    Hi everyone!

My 2021 tacoma OR has less than 4,000 miles on it and I'm wondering if this is normal on the seals around the door? I've also notice a ton of scratches that go all the way through the paint (haven't driven off road once. Keep it parked away from everything...). Frustrating...

Looks like the adhesive failed. Mine is a 2016 and appears like adhesive also failed, but a long time ago. I have no issues with leaking, so I’m not going to worry about it.

As others have said, the dealer should fix the seals or your can try some 3M. IMO the seals have been a bit of an issue for many (adhesive, wind noise, etc.).

Tacomas scratch easily. The stray cats in my neighborhood have already caused a bit of damage. Use a good paint sealant, my favorite is sonax. Another method is to avoid driving too close to other cars; especially with our paper-like windshields. I also recommend using Gummi Pfledge Stift on the rubber seals; it helps them seal better and works wonders on restoring dried-out rubber (restored my Miata's 22-year-old weather seals).

My 2020 looked just like yours for a few months (purchased jan2020). I ignored it and now it's stuck really good. Dunno & good luck!

It appears the sticky stuff just keeps it in place since it's in the corner of the door. Don't think it has anything to do with "sealing".

As for the paint, do you wash it at one of those spinning brush / hanging cloth automated car washes. Stay away from those. Hand wash 2 bucket method is the safest

Always hand wash. Microfiber towels. It's not the WORST thing in the world, but there's one on the rocker panel that just chipped right through. I'm assuming I'm just having terrible luck with catching stray rocks. But, weather is changing here and I have rock sliders coming so in a few months I'll really break it in and have some "earned" scratches.

That just cracked me up...I'm old - I know, but it reminded me of the old TV Show, HEE-Haw and the doctor skits..."Doc my arm hurts when I do this"...Doc replies: "We'll don't do that.":)

As far as scratch's, get a good ceramic treatment job. After 1 year i'm sold on it.
