I tried using v14 yesterday but got a message saying it needed to be upgraded

@Shellshock If I’ve already downloaded the v15 will that still work?

or will I need to uninstall, download v14 again & go through the process without WiFi while flashing the tsb?

also, if I uninstall v15 & redownload it, will I have a new system ID that will need a registration key from mhh auto? I only ask cause I don’t want to wait double the time for that key

 

I dunno that you can run them in parallel, I’ve never tried.

I’ve been using v14 for a long time, it’s easy and quick. Just stay disconnected from the internet.

Correct

 

TS updates the existing installation when installing a newer version. It does not appear to allow two different installations. I don't know what it would do trying to install an older version, but most likely, stop or force an uninstall.

Nope. This is all offline work, always. You have all the files that you need.


Going online requires a TIS subscription. That is an option that folks can do, but it costs money.

 

Sure don’t. If you are connected to network, it’ll check for updates (which we dont need / want). We have all the TSB files, TS can only grab them if you have an active subscription (which we dont). Outside of that, theres nothing it needs network for. It also doesn’t need java.

So untill 2021's have TSB's there shouldn't be a need to update TS correct? because i saw that it won't work for them?

 

Or if you want to customize some settings on a 2021+ MY. There are also other uses that are less frequently used as well.

 

TS V15 that I linked certainly works for 2021s. TS V14 does not.
