Having driven and used my Tacoma for 1 year of work and pleasure and over 10,000 miles I have no complaints-- well maybe 1.
My age and lack of great flexability has me scuffing the edge of the driver's side rocker panel with my heavy rubber boots.
Thinking about touching it up and putting the 3M (or whatever brand) clear scuff guard tape over this small area. Don't get me wrong-no fault of the Tacoma!
    Tell me your thoughts!

Don't feel bad. My lady still scuffs my door panels and rocker panels all the time and she's short.

Yesterday was my 1 year anniversary with my Taco! Mine’s only for pleasure but it has been on several long trips; I’m just under 8K No complaints here except for the paint under the door handles scratches easily. My girl has long finger nails and her kid is clumsy LOL!

Only mods I’ve done are adding a front receiver, a tool box and a locking center console. Great truck!

Well, I'm only at 8 months ... No complaints about the truck itself... It's run flawlessly ...
My only complaint would be the bombardment of emails about 'You're overdue for servicing!'
I've only got 4.3K miles on it. Apparently Toyota thinks I should be at least 10K + miles by now.

By the time my 1 year hits I might be lucky to have 3k miles on it.

I had a message at 9,752 miles saying I was close to service. I took it in at 9,900 miles.

I’ve only gotten two E-mail’s and a phone call from my dealer asking me to come-in for Service. They seem to think I have 15K miles on my truck; I have basically half of that. I did it’s first service at 5K miles in my garage. Short of a recall or major warranty issue I doubt my Taco will ever go back there.

Same here. Even a similar complaint...sort of self inflicted asking the dealer to install a set of predator bars in my truck. Their fine most of the time except in winter with all the slush, and ice freezing on them. Sometimes it can be an adventure to get into the drivers side without doing a banana slip off them. On top of it no grab handle. Toyota if your listening...put back those grab handles.

I hear ya. 5K miles (From what I've read) is basically tire rotation and checking fluids.
Since I live an hour + each way from a dealer and probably have to wait a couple hours there ... I figure I'll just rotate the tires myself.
(And use an actual torque-wrench when tightening the lug nuts) ... I can save a lot of time doing it myself .. Have a couple beers while taking my time ... And knowing some Air Gun Monkey didn't ramp the gun up to 200 psi thinking 'Well.. THAT'S not going anywhere!'

I line-Xed the rockers and door sills of my last truck for that reason. I might do this one too if it begins to get scuffed or I end up with rock chips on the rocker panel.

Predator side steps. DiamondBack SE cover. Waiting on my OEM Remote Tailgate Lock to arrive.
Mine had 3,300 on my one year anniversary the end of February. Working from home is brutal.

My 19 will be 2 in May. I have 8000ish on it. Hard to say I drive it so little working from home. The biggest job it seems to have is hauling tacos home for lunch.

I had Xpel paint protection film put on all 4 door sills to keep my dogs from scratching them. Five years later, the film has held up to 16 paws, and the paint underneath is mint.

Right at 1 year and 3100 miles. The truck has its purpose, my Ford its and my Jeep is my outdoor/off-road vehicle.

Iuse whatever is best for any given trip.

Sold: '19 TRD OR - It will always be in my heart.
Just passed 2 years and 4K miles. I've never gotten an email from the dealer regarding service. Maybe they go to my junk folder, or maybe that was something new added to the 2020+ trucks.

On the 2020+ trucks with navigation, can you replace the NAV SD card or is it updated wireless/remotely?

My notice for service came on the screen in the truck- probably over my phone. Don't laugh I'm a technology idiot!
