Installed a Redarc Liberty today. Others have detailed the process so I’ll just post some pics of how it went for me.

I ordered the TPSI-007 blank replacement kit, hoping it would fit in the tall blank where the clutch start cancel switch is on manual transmission trucks.

I only removed the small panel, not the lower dash. It removes simply by wiggling it loose while pulling the dash on each side of the panel apart just a bit.

    Good news, the TPSI-007 fits!E911F29F-1161-4C07-A4C7-F9682FBFE82E.jpg

    End result - looks factory!211CB322-17C6-4A42-A99B-49646DBE3B3C.jpg

just installed my Redarc. The blank included didn't want to fit, but overall, very happy with it! Without a trailer does it just light up blue when pressed if the vehicle is stationary?

Press it like you’re engaging a manual override. It’ll light up and your brake lights will come on. Otherwise, the LED is basically invisible.

as stated no lights unless a trailer is connected or you press the knob. I was worried by no lights and thought something was wrong.

I had to install the blank, I used the large one by the power switch, then install the knob.

I’m not sure if this has been mentioned but make sure to wire up the secondary ground.

installed my redarc liberty friday. no brackets needed, used the 2 studs directly below the steering column, at the bottom of the dash. one to hold the controller (had to file open the screw hole/slot, to accommodate the stud), and the other to hook up the ground. total install less than an hour. remove left kick panel, and sill guard, find the trailer control plug on the truck, find the studs, hook up wiring to truck plug, install controller to dash stud, hook ground, plug in harnesses to controller, install switch blank to your choice of locations, reinstall kick panel, and sill guard. go hook to trailer, verify operation. i used the left side cubby, where I had 1 open hole, next to my light bar switches. super easy install, super clean install. Thinking about buying a Redarc. I’ve been happy with the performance of my Tekonsha P3, but tired of hitting my knee on it. Has anyone installed the knob in one of the dash center bezel blanks? Any videos of how it comes apart out there?

I’ve got the Redarc Liberty kit coming. Im going to try to mount the switch at the center console. If I can figure it out, I’ll post a pic or two for you.

I’m not entirely sure on how it comes apart, but we do offer the switch plate so it’ll look factory! Which Tow Pro were you looking at? We have the Liberty, and the Elite.

You will have to take the climate control panel off to get to that area there should be a YouTube video on how to get to that area.
I think the cables that come with the Liberty should be able to get there.

I go through the passenger side to get behind the switch panel. So much easier. Check out the 2LO mod for instructions on that.

I have a single axle 20’ travel trailer. I was thinking the the Liberty might be a good match for my needs. Is it similar in function and features to the Tekonsha P3 I’m currently using?

Operation is super simple. Turn the knob to adjust braking. Press the knob to apply the manual override. Nothing more to it.

Edit: It’s a proportional controller that senses your movement and it’s mounting orientation with a (I think) 3-axis accelerometer.

I will be getting a 21 TRD Off Road at the end of the month. Where is the best place to purchase the Redarc in Canada (Ontario) Also which model should I get. I will be towing a Jayco Hummingbird 17RK that weighs 3300lbs dry. Thanks.

You can purchase directly from our website, www.redarcelectronics.com. You can also purchase from your local 4wp stores, summit racing, camping world, or any offroad shop that purchases through Keystone distribution. Unfortunately I have no direct shop locally to you that I know of as I'm in Washington State. I'll update once I get a recommendation from the East Coast rep!

Does this BOM look good for the 2021. Did your rep happen to get back to you in regards to which model to go with. Liberty or Elite.
