I think I would make 2 removable mounts that go on the side of the bed, the front up by the side of the toolbox and the back where ever it lands.

Yeah that may be what I end up doing. I had the parts laying around to do it this way, but something that drops into a stake pocket and pins in place would be pretty sweet. And keeping it all one side might be nice.

the bikes will pack closer together if you have a fork mount on opposite sides of the bed, otherwise the handlebars will get in the way

Always good to have a second mount for the random times you go with a buddy though.

I sold my hitch mount 6 bike rack and got a 2 bike tray rack because I never hauled more than 2 bikes.

I had a problem with my B&M not letting my transmission warm up this winter so I switch to the Hayden with the 170 degree bypass. My truck ran like shit this winter because of low transmission temperatures. Whenever it was less than 50° outside, my transmission had a hard time getting above 110°. When my transmission was below 110°, My Engine would actually sputter in high boost, even after letting it warm up for 30min. I switched to the Hayden and it improved. I still have to be careful in Extreme cold weather not to run Boost until The transmission reaches at least 130° Which takes forever in the cold Colorado winter.

I would go with the Hayden

You are correct, these trucks don’t like LEDs for the dome light . Mine works with an LED...2002. But I had buy a domelight with a resistor and now the Key light works fine with an LED

I wish mine would’ve had that connector behind the dash... this was only on some models of the first GEN. Maybe he’ll get lucky

Finally had a chance to clean/protect/restore the graying trim on my low mileage 2003 back to black. It's the first time I've used Car Guys Plastic Restorer or Meguiars Hyper Dressing on any of my vehicles. I was impressed.

Nope - took the pics today. I got lucky on this truck. My 2005 had almost 440K on it and I would have needed new Cats to get through the California Smog test. I knew this would happen 'cuz I barely passed Smog in 2019 due to the Catalytic Converters. My neighbor's Grandmother passed in 2019 and she had this 03 Taco and it was pretty much a garage queen for quite a while. I bought it with 73,000 on it knowing I would eventually need to replace my '05 Taco. Interior was excellent, bed was almost perfect, and except for a few tiny parking lot dings and needing to repair the rear window latches it was in A+++ condition. This truck was barely used from when I bought it 2019 until last month when I sold off my '05. Now it's my daily driver. I think it was quite a steal for $11,000. Couldn't be happier.
