Only a few days left to vote.
Then I’ll be updating the OP thread and changing it the poll to dates.

Would personally want it to be in September. I’m saving up some PTO for this trip but it has to be used before October 1st, otherwise I lose 9 days.

I also prefer September, but not the Labor Day time slot.

Either the 11th or 18th works for me, and I will pick whichever one has the higher number of votes.

11-19 SEP works for me, it's the only weekend I have off that month.

Changed my vote to that, as I too would like many to enjoy this trip.

You can change your vote if wanted. I don’t have it locked.

The 11th works well at it doesn't conflict with the Expo, fyi.

Dates poll closes in a few days. Once it closes, you will have until 1 May to decide if you can commit. If the commit size is greater than 3, than I will have to get 2 permits and break the group. As the permits allow only a Max of 3 vehicles per site. Seems that most are leaning towards the 11th to 19th for the dates.

    Hmmm... ya'll should consider a moonless night - I did a milky-way night-shoot in Ajo
last year on a moonless night. Got some nice images. This location would be fabulous.

While I couldn't 'drive' it as I'm SR5-Stock it would be a hell of a trip. Anybody up for a
rider?... I don't bitch too much and would pack my own food/ water/ smokes/ TP

I'd have to get management approval ( the wife ) but it would be a photography canvas.

I have no idea what the moon cycle is for the dates. I know certain dates picked because of other events shortly after and peoples work restrictions.
As far as riding with. I'm sure thats a good possibility. I wont know until closer if a friend is riding with or not.

Keep me posted, moon phases are easy to find. Even with a moon out there are shots to be had.

So Daryl @phesser would like to have it known that he is a go for the trip and is good with the 11th start date.

@2021SR5V64WD i may have a open seat. Itll be a little tight, I'm fat and own a 1st gen so...

Well I'm small and thin won't bother me -
Will still need management approval ( the wife )..
