    Work in progress...
Looking for something a little more nimble and a whole bunch easier to pick up in deepish sand. My 16 Gs650 has 40 some lbs of torque and 50 hp so it pulls me through trouble at and idle. At 450 pounds, as set up, it is sometimes difficult to pick up in the loose stuff. And I am getting older and all...I don't think I will find another bullet proof adventure bike like this, but a guy can dream.

We all might know that out present day Tacos are very similar in size to a 80's model Chevy C10.

The Chevy had a full sized bed (8 foot) and a "standard" cab. ...

Yep. And the only long bed load that I’ve seen posted here that a short bed can’t haul is......2 people sleeping! :D

And the lesson here is: If you really want your post to get 126 responses in less than 24 hours, put the word PENIS in the headline! While not exclusive (thank goodness) these forums are testosterone-centric.
Wondering if "Vagina" would get the same number of responses??

No such thing as a small penis. There are only large vaginas.

I think you just did! Sure, Julia, but put it in a headline!
"Date Farmer"! For over 50 years, I can't pass by Hadley's in Cabezon on I-10 without a Date Shake; fewer opportunities since the move to New Mexico.

Look me up next time you pass by

I have a 6 feet bed (which local farmers call standard since they have the 8ft), and apparently a big vagina !!!!

That elusive unicorn has yet to be built. I loved my 990, but picking that big bitch up was too much.

I have a 500excf for the gnarlier stuff close to home, hoping the 390 will suffice for longer trips and fire roads.

my dad always told me to get the longest bed offered. that a short bed was a waste of time. My first minitruck was a mazda b2000 with a 7' bed and a grampa mid-rise shell.

but I'll be damned, if i didn't load my jetski in the back, cover it with a blanket and drive that thing to work, and to customer's sites, and go jet skiing right after work.

I'd imagine it'd get more since it's so testosterone-centric here......you know, b/c all the cavemen will see "vagina" and stop thinking with their top head

I'd rather not wear an extender if I don't have to!

Yeah, when everything you need to haul is 8 foot long, the difference between 6 foot and 5 foot beds is kinda unimportant.

I got a harbor freight step hitch extension that adds another 18 inches to the bed extender when I'm picking up 17 foot trim.

The 5' bed on my Tacoma is too long, as I'm dragging it way too much while off roading. I'd rather have a 4 foot bed.
