Does anyone else think the TSS is straight TRASH?

I like midsize trucks but they are not the best vehicle for daily driving as far as comfort and drivability go. I think that experience would be amplified by TSS or any driver assist system on any make of midsize pickup

Sure is... I see vehicles with driver assist systems involved in accidents all the time.

You do realize TSS doesn’t prevent accidents?

Be careful. There have been a few posts here about the autobraking not doing it's thing for deer.

I haven't had an issue with the system. It has hit the warning a few times and the brakes a couple of times. Warnings were all reasonable and I was following a little close. The braking happened on sudden stops so completely appropriate.

I like the Cruise control radar set on it's lowest setting. I have turned off the lane assist thing, can't stand it.

I do however hate it when the TSS gets wet and no longer will function. This has happened only a few times, but it happens when it's raining when you need the dam thing the most.

Other than that I like it.

Sounds to me like the problem is your driving style mostly.

When I first bought the truck, I thought I would hate it because I wasn’t into all the nanny type features vehicles come with today. But after using it now on many long trips, it’s spoiled me. Mine works perfectly. The only feature I turn off is lane departure - it’s just an annoyance to me.

Oh an by the way, my truck has a three inch lift with 33’s and I put a pro grill on it. Zero issues with any of the features and I didn’t need any adjustments. Maybe I’m just lucky.

Because... people are distracted. TSS is not for good drivers. It is for the onther 99%.

Sounds like that 99% needs a manual transmission.

Whatever tss is it sucks. Every time it rains hard or i get caught in a good snow squall or snowstorm this stupid warning light is on. Soon as the weather is good...a few minutes later the light is off. Imo, this is just unwanted bs that adds to the cost of the truck.

Lane departure was bad enough I had to pull over on the way home from the dealership to get it turned off.
Since then the system has operated out of sight, out of mind. Hopefully it works, doesn't break and I never need it.
Speaking of breaking, that reminds me, I still haven't had the TSS Band Aid recall done.

I don't use cruise control, as I've always felt it allowed me to become too easily distracted.
I'm sure I'd be even worse using the DRCC.

I love how people on here think they are perfect drivers who never get distracted. If you’re singing a song on the radio, you’re distracted. If you’re listening to an audio book, you’re distracted. If you’re talking to passengers, you’re distracted. If you’re telling the navigation system where to go, you’re distracted. If you see some hot chick, you’re definitely distracted.

My point is, no one is perfect. So unless you have the radio off, talking to no one, always looking at the road, you are still at risk of getting into an accident. To the people who make comments about being perfect all looking down on people who like TSS, I hope you never get into an accident.

I can't wait for the pedestrian version of TSS. I guess it would consist of a pair of kicks, some app and a forehead sensor.
