Besides the fact that I'm a SIG guy, I'm not a fan of gun sticker in truck windows. If I'm looking to break into a truck in a Walmart parking lot and I see a M&P/SIG/Glock etc sticker in a window that's the window I'm smashing to check the glove box.

If you want to safely store your gun in the car and can’t afford the center console safe, just buy a vegan sticker and put it on the back. No one will check your truck.

Also, one of these fits well under the drivers seat:

“Feel the Bern” sticker works well too.

If the media is to be trusted, you might get your window smashed in by a liberal-hating, white-supremacist, good-for-nothing, completely irrational Trump supporter.

Yeah I like a SIG as well and S&W. I don’t leave my gun alone in my truck ever. No one should. Also if someone is dumb enough to smash my window in the Walmart parking lot then let them. I’ve got full coverage and I park close enough that someone would see it happening. Walmart stays PACKED. No one around here is that dumb, surely. Either way, I’ll chance it. Been there for nearly 2 years now. :D

    Howdy gents/ladies:

Sorry to intrude on your post here, but I am very curious about the western NC area. I currently live in Colorado and need to move in the next couple of years to get out of CALIrodo. I am originally from CA, actually. But, I have been here in CO for 20+ years now and there are now just TOO many Californians here... gotta go.

ANYWAY, one of the places I am considering is the western NC or eastern TN area. This is mostly because I LOVE mountains/hiking/camping/biking (road and mountain) and am tired of snow. I saw snow (omg) in some pics on this posting. Is that normal? Is there good hiking? Mountain biking? Road biking? Camping in the areas I mentioned? Is it full of Californians like everywhere out west?

    THANKS!

I’m a big mountain biker. Either would suit you well but WNC is some of the best biking on the east coast. Pisgah is awesome as is DuPont. It will be a little more Liberal, especially as you get closer to Asheville.

Also, TN has Windrock for the competitive biker. As Bannerman said, I don't think you could go wrong with either.

I’m from California also (San Jose). Yuck. WNC is good as long as you are in the areas outside of Asheville (read the last page or two of this thread). Snows a few times a winter usually. Nothing crazy. Tacos will be fine if you just wash the saltiness off your frame. Not gonna need chains or anything absurd.

Plenty of fishing, hiking, mountain biking. Appalachian trail runs close. There’s a good 20 something mile stretch of it near Nantahala. Parking on both ends.

Plenty of camping as well. Not many Californians but Floridian half backs who come in summer, leave for winter. But they like the touristy spots. So outside (15+ miles) of Asheville isn’t bad (yet).

Yep I do quite a bit of work In the Asheville area and I get in after 9AM and out by 2PM it’s a small sample of a big city with a huge homeless population and drug problem’s. Asheville was pretty nice up to about 15 yrs ago then turned into a complete sewer with bad traffic and the worst county/city government infrastructure.

Anyone know someone who does a quality CMC in WNC? I’m debating getting 33s when I burn through my current tires.

I did not need one. Get a good alignment with all the +caster you can. A good set of adjustable UCAs will help if needed.
