I have put the lift on this about a year now and just recently I notice this on the passenger front wheel and has black oil leaked underneath it ..what could cause this and how much would it cost to fix it ? Thank you

CV boot split, probably prematurely from the CV angle being outside where it's made to operate, due to lift.
    How much lift?

Friction in CV boot. How high did you lift? Lift height affects the CV angle, which can cause friction in the pinches. Post picture of other side.

Are you capable of working on your truck? If you are, it's an easy, not too time consuming job. You can get a replacement boot from the autoparts store. Some people will just replace the axle though.

Not necessarily. As stated previously, depending on your cv angles, it most likely is the height of your lift.

not necessarily a bad job - probably rushed work resulting in a torn boot. Likely you will have a leak at the axle seal on the same side soon too - another side affect of lift. keep an eye out for that because it makes a rather big mess on the diff skid and lca where the adjuster cam is.

This not due to poor workmanship or rushed shop work. This is a common problem when lifting these trucks 3 inches.

Can I just buy a boot and glue it? Or do I need to take it back to the shop ? I wonder how much will the cost be? Can I still drive around without it being hazard?

Replacement requires disassembly. Folks end up just replacing the whole CV axle with the amount of work. Google shows sub $400 but depends on your location.

Here’s a video just to give you an idea: https://youtu.be/d5NhNCpW8hU

Keep in mind, until you properly resolve the CV angle issue,,,,, this will keep happening. Look at the other side, you'll probably see shiny rings on the sides of the valleys of the boot, that's the boot rubbing on itself, this wearing it prematurely.

So is a front Diff drop the only way to alleviate the angle of a CV boot, when lifting these trucks?

That or lowering the lift (i.e., lower preload, removing top spacers). Some run 2.5+ Lifts without issue. 3 is pushing it. Sliding a piece of paper in between each pinch is a good test. If the paper does not move freely in between, then the angle is bad.

If you are trying to do something quick and inexpensive they sell split replacement boots that will buy you some time if you get it installed right . If you keep running it like that you will ruin cv joint and need a new axle .

If your just having a shop fix it. Probably around $500-600 bucks. And I would just replace it. Depending on how long it has been open, it may be full of grit and grime. And these are impossible to clean without disassembly.

Possibly, but depending on who does it.
Here's a new cv axle from McGeorge Toyota, but take under consideration that those are still made for stock height Screenshot_20210403-212631_Chrome.jpg
And here is a reman one prepared for mild lifted truck
    Screenshot_20210403-212805_Chrome.jpg

Screenshots just so you'd have some idea on how much axles actually cost

Or if you had a local shop that you trusted. Here are the common man prices from rockauto.com screen shot. If you were going to reduce the life you would not need the special axles.
