What UCA are you guys running and getting good alignment numbers? I have JBA UCA and the dealership can't seem to get my alignment right. Kind of frustrating :annoyed:

Anybody know how to differentiate passenger and driver side stock coil springs? I came across my old ones earlier today and noticed they both have yellow paint marks but only one has a green paint mark as well wondering if anyone knows?

I ran into the same problem. My guess is that you purchased the rebuilt ones from the prominent hub rebuilder on this forum? I just ended up buying dormans on rock auto. No issue with fitment.

Well, hopefully you were able to off load the rebuilt ones somewhere. Its sad because I was very clear with him on what the issue was. He said he was going to add these spindles to his list of questions to ask for pending customers. I get that this is a side gig for him and he does great work. But it sounds like he didn't use my situation as a lesson learned. He said he was going to update his thread to indicate the issue for future readers.

Not sure how long ago it was but i recently asked him and he answered pretty quick saying they were not compatible with the maxtrac spindles. Hopefully it gets added to the main post. I haven't checked back since asking.

Also I appreciate you posting that you got dorman and there was no issue with fitment.

My current setup 6112/5160 6/5 1/4 top plates on both sides. 17x8.5 0 offset 4.75" bs, JBA uca. 285/75/17 , .75" Bora wheel spacers on all wheels, CMC done

1)Can I run the spindles without the .75" spacers?
2)I needed the .75" spacers to clear the JBA UCA, will the tires clear the UCA now without the spacers?
3)approx install time for the spindles (fronts only) by a mechanic.

I'll likely remove the 1/4 top plates from both sides. Will also remove the .75 front wheel spacers if my wheels clear the spindle. If the spindles poke out .75", that will clear my UCA? My UCA requires @4.50 bs.

My lift is roughly 3" currently, 2.5" if i remove the top plates. I'd like to go for a 6.5" lift.

    TIA

the spindles also require 4.5BS so I think you'll still need the spacers.
replacing the spindles should only take a couple of hours.

Do you already have extended break lines? If not, you'll need them. I found out the hard way when I installed my spindles.

    No extended brake lines yet.

So I'm looking at 1.5" poke then. I would have to maybe test with that size spacer to see if there's any rubbing.

If I recall correctly the spindles need a minimum of 4.75 so you should be able to clear without spacers. I'd do a double check once everything is mounted.

Why remove the top plate spacers? The spindles will come with extended front brake lines if you order them new.

Slap them on with the wheel spacers and see what happens. Going to look boss af

I'm worried that I would not have enough lift in the rear. So 4" block + 1 AAL. I have a 1.5 block now, so that would net me another @ 4" in the rear. Drop .5" from the front by removing the top plates and I should sit level. btw, I'm 100% pavement and never carry any weight.

Sorry about the Gen3. Seems like very little discussion on gen3 and spindle lifts.

You good man, we here for the group regardless.

I would say fuck the shit out of those blocks in the back and just get some Alcan springs made to the height you want and be done with it.

Weight or no weight constant they can tailor them to your liking. Wish I'd had done that the first time honestly.

There are tons of other leaf packs to look at too...keep the blocks small, can't let ya ride on a 4" block homie. Start saving

    @ChadsPride

What size tires you on and ground to fender measurements?

Your leaf pack and block is about 4"?

@ChadsPride very nice! That's a lot of OS plus another 3/4" poke is -57os??

Sean guy from Maxtrac said my 17x8.5 0 offset 4.75bs is perfectly fine for the spindle.

I worry about rubbing with increase offset. Ideally, i do not want anymore than what i have now at .75" using the wheel spacer.

Also, my 5160 rears probably won't work well with a 4" lift.
