Ok I have done a TON of searching on this forum and google and havent found anybody with the same issue.

Within the last month or so I have noticed a strange humming noise coming from the front end of my truck.

It starts at 30mph and goes up to about 60mph, in any gear. Im positive its not the trans, as it is speed specific and not rpm specific.

Happens when Im accelerating, braking, and coasting without braking.

Does it in 2wd and 4wd.

It is not rhythmic at all. It's a constant sound

I drained the trans fluid...perfectly clean and bright red.
I drained the front diff fluid...perfectly clean again.
I regularly grease all the zerks.
I then tried to check to see if the wheel bearings were good. Lifted the front and spun the front wheels by hand, and it sounds normal. No humming at all.

Then I realized maybe its my slotted disc rotors in the front (installed july 2010), but how can I verify this?

99% of the time I drive I have the stereo on and it drowns out all noises. So I really dont know how long this has been going on.

Any ideas or anyone have tis same problem. I would greatly appreciate help with this. Not sure where I should start looking.

    Sounds like this....

Does it sound like you're driving on mud terrains?

Same here. It happened a week after I changed my spark plugs and rear diff fluid. Dawilldabeast rode in my truck to listen to it as well, but he said it's coming from the center of the truck. It stays with the speed of my truck. If I slow down or speed up. Doesn't follow my engine. Could be the drive shaft?

I think it is the PS pump... It stops when I'm holding a turn. And I have noticed some PS fluid leaked out about 4-5 months ago. New pump?

Super Werty, or anyone else, I'm sure you have found the cause for this by now, any suggestions?
