It is very unfortunate how Wyatt, his wife Alana and their business partners at Rock Solid Toys have taken advantage of his off-roading prowess and have stolen tens of thousands of dollars from hard working individuals who entrusted him with their vehicles and money.

I wish this forum was up and running when I made the mistake of paying him $16,500 via PayPal for parts to rebuild my 2005 Lexus GX470 in December 2019. I too was mislead with promises of free shipping and extras to entice me away from using ToyTec in Denver. Alana was running a year-end Instragram Special was the exact phrase Wyatt used and it would save me nearly $4000 in parts and shipping.

The past 16 months were spent on texting and talking on the phone once a week with Wyatt, but each time we had set a delivery date for the parts there was one delay or another. I heard all of the same excuses as have been shared on this post.

Wyatt has managed to change me from a skeptic to a cynic. I doubt any of his personal, health, business and mechanical problems were true. Hindsight is 20/20 vision.

In his defense, Wyatt did provide a solid work scope and recommendations for the rebuild and I did receive an enhanced front suspension system and a front bumper in August 2020, amounting to around $3500, but a far cry from the total amount due in the allotted time. So many missed deadlines and lame excuses of one sort or another. It was hard for me to comprehend how one person could have so much go wrong at all the wrong times, time and time again.

When Wyatt was once again unable to make the trip to Colorado on March 24, 2021 as he had promised, he sent the following text after failing to show up at the appointed date and time with the parts.

"I'm sorry I am not coming out I don't have the all the rest of the parts. I thought I could put it all together get there in time but I couldn't. I'm tired of lying. I've lied to you your a good man I want to put it all together for you and get it done. But I just can't at this time please do what you have to do Wyatt" The irony of this is that he told me he had the parts on a trailer parked at his mother's property in the high desert. Same parts he supposedly had on his trailer in July 2020 when he suffered a minor stroke.

Also to his credit, he sent a text to my fabricator in Grand Junction and told him not to commence with the tear down, so at least my rig is still drivable. He also acknowledged that he owes me $13,000 in this text

"I'm sitting down with some people at the moment but yes. That is my intention to refund that entire amount. I actually had it at $13,000"

When I prompted him on Thursday, March 25 when I could expect the funds, Wyatt sent this text, "I'll have to get with you on Wednesday with that information."

Since then, he has gone silent on me and has probably blocked my cell phone number.

It is wrong what Wyatt has done to me, my family and other members of this forum. I understand this is a cash intensive business and that profits are generated by shop labor for satisfied repeat clients who encourage others to engage his services. However, I felt it my duty to share my negative experience to prevent Wyatt and Alana from preying on other unsuspecting consumers.

I will explore any and all legal remedies to collect, but it seems like it is a lost cause with him and Rock Solid Toys.

I would appreciate any constructive feedback from the forum

That was a coffee out nose moment. Thanks for that. What makes it so funny is that fact that it's true. lol

Holy sheeeet! Just learning about all this today. The last 23 pages were tough to read!

I was corresponding with Wyatt for a year or so by email. Lots of FJ case questions and he was very prompt with his replies and knowledgeable. I had some financial issues and couldn’t go through with the purchase, plus there was the supply issues with the taco box I wanted to do at the same time. I was also corresponding with one of his employees about the project on Instagram. His profile is down...

Just had to share. Sorry fellas. I had a dream about sending my truck to this guy and you lived the nightmare.

I'll add another story to the mix.

Around this time in 2015 or so I paid Wyatt $2,600 for a Tacobox fully assembled, along with shifters.

    The facts:

    - Wyatt was super nice and responsive before the payment was made.
-Claimed that everything was "in stock" and that my parts would ship within 7-10 days.
    - As soon as the payment was made, I got ghosted BIG time...six months to be exact.
    - The few times he responded - after tons of calls/texts - throughout the 6 month period was with excuses, especially blaming Marlin for all the issues.
-The parts never arrived...not even the shifters lol.

After 6 months I gave up and initiated a formal complaint with both Paypal and my bank (USAA). They both ruled the whole thing was credit card fraud and got my money back within 24hrs.

Back then I thought I was just the one unlucky customer because there was a cult of people praising RST everywhere :D. So I gave RST/Wyatt the benefit of the doubt and moved on, especially since I got my money back. The only thing really lost was time, so why bother with drama?

Never thought about the whole thing again much until today after reading the 23 pages of this thread so far. It pains me to see that so many people have been affected by this .

Do you have a source who can do a 4x4 conversion on an FJ? Wyatt was supposed to do mine but of course that’s not gonna happen now... I just don’t know anyone else who can take on this project.

    Thanks.

    why not try it yourself?
I did. I almost ALMOST had rst do mine and then I changed my mind after reading a lot of threads on the swap on here
    So I did it myself
The process is almost the same as the Tacoma just the front diff is different

I’m nowhere near mechanically inclined enough for something like that. Let alone the work space and tools...
