    Absolutely none.
Quarentine boredom leads to mindless wander to try and "find" something to think about.

Looking forward to seeing the line snap at the 42foot mark.
I have full confidence that it'll be the actual result.

So... you're taking it personal that I laughed at what you do personally?

    Sounds kinda "Chezy".

Don't like the "roughness of Manning up"?

Relax and go with the flow.

I say let it be and enjoy the 100ft. I've had mine and used it a few times and never even thought about it. Still works fine. If it snaps then you have a reason.

I wouldn't under-estimate how much line to leave on the spool. Do you ever use a snatch block? It is a pain to constantly reset if you have multiple lines connected together.

    @Shveet

You are great a over thinking stuff,

I took the 100' line, measured out 45' and cut it. Done. Made that the end that goes on the winch. Other part is extension.

Didnt even think twice about it lol. My ability to do math is limited, and just getting 45' seemed tough.

that explains the note i found....
    Mysterious_Note_01.jpg

the one time i used a snatch block was to move a 32' trailer around in a circle, haven't actually had that issue just yet. the other time was the snowy shit show that was the rally, i don't remember getting annoyed over the constant pain of resetting it.
maybe with more experience i'll see.

I grew up over analysing every situation and trying to take everything possible into consideration in every way, shape, and form. As i am with hacking and MacGyvering stuff together and as you've probably seen me "rant" on simple stuff like "what size wire should i use"... every idea and scenario i've come across from "should i keep my mouth shut because who likes listening to me?" to "is it really worth putting the four 60lb Peavey speakers 7 feet off the ground for assemblies because i'm pretty sure i'll get carpal tunnel at the age of 16" throughout most of my school days had basically plagued my life and i'm fairly certain that trait just follows me around for the fun of it now. and like just right now as i type this, i'm literally just over explaining and going into a unnecessary amount of detail for basically little to no gain on this conversation. Did i need to go into this with some level of detail? nope, but my brain decided to go into that detail because it deemed it reasonable for whatever reason, just gonna small text this and add a TLDR.

TL;DR i envy others who live a simpler life without the constant need to take every time detail into consideration.
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I dont know if our trip to tuktyuktuk is going to go this year or not but I am still preparing for it. I'm really thinking about building a clamshell camper like the one that ripcord did on YouTube. Anyone have any experience with this.... pointers, mistakes, recommendations?

Depending on how you use the truck, I think I would build a floor to the camper so the cap resembles a slide in. Reason being, is most of the wedge campers have the whole back of the truck outfitted, so if you want to use the truck as a truck it’s a pain. As a slide in, it’s just an easy in and out. May be much more difficult with the stock bed but only thing I can think of. Also, make sure your bed is supported lol. Speaking from experience.

I like that idea instead of sitting on the box rails. I can always make pockets to lift off with a fork lift

Drop the tailgate and have some main rails for the forks to slide into. Some simple Anderson connectors to plus in for charging (can even use the auxiliary on the tow hitch) and it’s a complete self contained unit.
