Just purchased a OEM Pro grille from Toyota same price as aftermarket ones it was a no brainer but obviously came with the front cam mount already. Where can I get an aftermarket front camera?

Pretty much anywhere. Depends how involved you want to be. You can source individual parts and build a kit or you can check out anytimebackupcamera.com

The anytime camera doesn’t mount quite the same way as the the new heritage grille. The grill requires a cube style camera with a plug out the rear
, where as the anytime is wedge, almost 45 degrees and the wiring runs though a post that would interfere with that heritage grill mount. There is a kenwood one for $99 that keeps popping up on my searches I just haven’t gotten up the nerve to get one yet. 5F240BE9-C5B3-4F0B-BF64-D2A52A67C09F.jpgIf you zoom in there you can see the top camera spot is just a blank and there is an anytime camera in the Toyota letters

Why not? The Natika ( premium camera as they call it) can be mounted horizontally.

I can make a mount for two types of cameras currently and working on a third from the advice of a member here that may work better. Been charging around $8 to make one.

These are the two cameras I currently do.

Will start working on the third when I get back from the beach. Let me get some photos of both of the above from my mobile phone.

This photo is the Nakita which has a much wider field of view, but it picks some of the grill on the corners because of that. Wider field of view isn’t as good of an image as well. The Nakita doesn't fit as well as the Ruyeot, but I had the Nakita on my original 2020 OR grill and tried to make it work with this one as best I could. It is a bit too wide to fit all the way snug against the front of the camera slot. Will have to get the Ruyeot tomorrow which I have on the truck currently. Second photo is of the mounts.

It can be mounted horizontally but it doesn’t fit into the oem spot. It does look like you need a bracket though

I recently acquired the heritage grill with the trd level/lift. The whole grill needs to come out to mount the camera ( the top screw is hiding behind some plastic) I haven’t taken the grill out yet because my anytime camera that I had on the the OR grill was able to be mounted a little lower. I just wanted to mount it quick and head out to Death Valley.

yeah it’s a pain in the ass to tweak mounts because of this, I usually end up installing my or grill for a week while I play around with it in the house. I just don’t want to cut an accessible hole in the rest of my grill.

Interested here as well. I also have an oem pro grille and i want to put a camera in the existing camera hole. Open to aftermarket solutions. But curious, Can you hook up an oem front camera to the anytime kit?

I looked at this option and the answer is probably if you make a harness or just hardwire it up, but the cost is high when these aftermarket cameras are like $20. OEM Camera is like $400 new and that’s a tough pill to swallow to test it.

    Here is the Ruyeot installed

I currently like the Ruyeot because it fits the hole the best and has a cleaner image due to lower FoV. You don’t see as much though, so the 210 FoV is better if you want to see more, the grille camera hole is only visible in the extreme corners of the image on the screen, it’s a very wide view. I’d like to find a 190 FoV and see if I could get a mix of both.

I’m gonna order the third camera for when I get back from the beach and see if I like it. It’s 170 FoV as well. It will be mounted in front of the hole and you hopefully won’t see the hole at all. Just need to see if I can mount it securely where it won’t twist.

I wonder if anyone who has a front camera and lower bumper light bar like the hidden caliraised or even flush mount notice glare or any issues with image?

If you have the anytimebackupcamera system it plugs right up, no issues. That’s the one I have.
