Hey Spruce Mica owners! I am planning to tint at least my front windows before summer. Post pics of your Spruce with tinted windows and share how much it was tinted. Thanks

I tinted the front to match factory rear. I think it was maybe 35%. Perfect for my needs in the PNW.
Prolly too much shadow to really see it here.

Not the best pic but I went with 35% on the front windows and 5% on the back and a 5% brow on the windshield.7C0A3A6E-3745-447A-96F3-A00A3DCB34FB.jpg12EA18EC-B9CE-451D-87B3-0BA6153BAC93.jpg

Kinda late on this, but how are those headlights treating you? And would you have a link for them? I want some darker headlight housing's. I have LED bulbs already.

That's gorgeous. Currently looking to sell my pre-runner and get a 4x4 but I'm in no rush. I really only want a pirate mica or spruce mica color. Love the look of yours

Here's my new to me 2013 DCLB 4x4 Sport (for now). 67,500 miles, 2 owners.

Backstory is that I had a 2008 TRD OR in blue but always wanted a green tacoma. I bought a spruce 2013 SR5 4x4 new in Washington state, drove for it for 4 years, then sold when I moved to California because I needed to financially in order to buy a house. In 2019 I bought a brand new TRD OR and spent a bunch of money fixing it up, then some ass in an RV destroyed it with his negligent driving. I never really got over not having my spruce 2013 tacoma, and didn't like how the 3rd gen drove with the transmission and shifting points vs power, etc. So I decided to go back to this one. Came with brand new TRD rims and some crappy procomp tires, ARB bumper, and camper shell.

Already started buying lift parts, they are hard to find right now but I will have about 2" of lift and HD springs front and back (bilstein 6112, Deaver, etc). The previous owner did nothing right regarding the ARB bumper. On 2013s you are supposed to cut the stock bumper and leave the top portion on the car; they just removed it, leaving a few inches of unsightly under grill visible, and the gap between fenders and top of bumper is zero so it is rubbing the paint off the bumper. Otherwise, the only other things are that the clear coat is toast on the hood scoop and the grill surround, and there are mucho mucho scratches all over this thing to polish out. I'll be posting in this thread periodically as it gets its updates.

Really nice looking rig you have there. Wow that's a lot of truck. I just bought a spruce goose 2014 Access Cab TRD Sport with 56K miles, bone stock. What kind of highway gas mileage do you get with yours outfitted the way it is? Mine isn't on the road yet because DMV appt. isn't until this wednesday. Then I can check gas mileage. Be interesting to see what the difference between yours and mine is.

thank you! I dont keep track of my consumption all that much but I would guess my average is roughly 17.5mpg

I typically take on 16 gallons when my fuel light kicks on, and thats roughly 280 miles of mostly city/town driving from fill up to gas light

I can get north of 18-19mpg on the open highway give or take some head winds and tail winds, thats roughly 300 miles from fill up to gas light

and I am sure I can easily drop down below 15mpg around town if I start racing around like an idiot

and all those fuel consumption figures have been while sitting on km2 e load tires and a bunch of heavy steel parts and some aluminum parts added, the roof rack and snorkel wont help anything either

i do think the manual transmission may help though as I typically hear people with similar setups get less mpg

i think my personal best was around 20-21mpg on a cross country road trip, I think i was squeezing out around 350 miles between fill ups, and that was stopping just before the fuel light would kick on

I love this thing so far, I’ve only tinted the windows and switched the headlights and fog lights out for leds.
