sounds like super pacific did find a solution for those with a aftermarket bed rails. i believe they are using starboard material used on most boats for a spacer vs aluminum what @ScenicCityOverland told me when he picked up so not the end of the world if you have metal bed cap rails. But they do recommended factory for all those with 2gens

All the horizontal ones are 9” on center, and 20” top to bottom. Height will change on certain trucks though

All right! Perfect. More pics when you get a chance please. Interested in the fit on the bed rails, how it’s clamped, and the gap above the cab. But any pics will do.

Has anybody got lucky and snagged a spot someone was selling? I'm impatient AF...

For real though, The wife and I are planning on flying up to Portland to check them out in person, talk options, etc.. and put down a deposit.. Hopefully within the next couple months! We have been planning this jump for awhile now. We're in the process of getting our RV gate and cover setup an put in in the back yard, in preparations for the truck. It barely fits in the garage now, and I have a stack of 35's waiting to go on and then the X1.. so we needed a storage solution. Going to get all my ducks in a row before we pick up the camper.. Plans are to finish the projects I've been neglecting on the truck and the camper will finally be some great motivation to get it done, and get it done quick. Dual Battery, rear dual swingout, re-do/clean up all my wiring and power management, change my water and air storage setup, etc. On top of my growing list currently. need to pick up some new wheels and slap on these 35's and do some cutting, finish up some other odds and ends. Going to be an exciting year!

Looks solid. For about the same money you can get RSI smart cap and choose any tent you want. The smart cap has side access with windows vs solid doors which I much prefer. Just put the RSI on a few weeks ago and picking up cvt Mt hood this week.

Those are nice but you can't stand up full height inside the bed with an RSI cap and a RTT. Having tons of room to hang out inside when its cold out or in bad weather is what makes Superpacific/GFC/Vagabond such gamechangers, combined with almost zero setup time.

Sure I can do that soon.
I got the surprise that my bed would inherit 4 new holes when I got there . At this point my taco is cut and drilled about everywhere so it wasn’t too hard to accept and I think it’s prob the best/cleanest mounting. I’m a long hauler with this thing so wasn’t a deal breaker. It’s 4 holes on top of the bed rails with 4 bolts going through to the camper. Vertical. I’m sure there’s a way to do it with a clamp but haven’t looked at it closely enough.
I’m blown away with the quality of the camper. It’s amazing. With regards to the rails I’m super stoked. They overhang the bed a little which I think is cleaner than second and third gen taper of the bed rails that are visible. The camper is a rectangular bottom so it fits great on the first gen rectangular bed. Will take pics.

@JasonLee I’ve moved the camper up and down like in your video and see 0 visible frame flex.

Compare it to the second and third gen. Much cleaner. With the exposed step/bed rail though on second and third you can use as step.
We’re driving back so just giving u quick response.
