Are the tune files now built off the new VF Tuner version 1.2.9.9.4?

It seems to holds gears longer, especially at lower throttle angles. Seems to do about the same thing as before, relative to the new normal (non ECT) behavior. I only played with it for a few minutes while city driving, didn't actually pull anything with it.

At some point in time, I believe so. I've been unable to flash all year since I got myself a new Mac in Jan of this year, thus changing my System ID and killing my Flash Manager registration. Now I went and got a secondary SSD for my work PC to install a stand alone copy of Windows on just for VF whenever this all happens.

Looking forward to a new tool so I can actually purchase and use this tune!

Can't wait. I've been on 2.0 Premium stock non THX since June of last year when the final dropped (and betas before that as I purchased the flash kit in March 2020). Never had a run in with 1.05 or any community tunes since I've not been able to get a new .reg key for my laptop. Hopefully this will come sooner rather than later and I'll be back in business! I inquired about Kruiser last month come to find out my ID changed so I could not flash it. Might as well hold out for this update and give the KDMAX 6.0 a shot.

Then I really, really need to figure out my balance issue that's been plaguing me for over 10,000 miles. Firestone swears it's not the tires, so it must be driveline related or something else that makes it shake above about 55 MPH and at any highway speed. :(

Got my vftuner license on Monday and quickly flashed 6.0 premium. Wow the truck drives like it should now. Power is consistent from the start and shifts feel just right. Before this. There were certain rpms that always felt like the truck had no torque and I would have to jam on the pedal to get it to downshift and rev like a little Honda Civic. I eventually settled on the light tip in tune though. The aggressive tip in made the truck feel faster off the line than it really is and took away from the consistent feel that I liked.

    Clear DTC
    Clear ECU learn mem
    Clear TCU learn mem
TCU/TCM Readout (so it can be submitted for support and tuning)
    other useful features.
Once we have enough TCM/TCU readout files submitted, we will release full TCU tuning (pressure control, shift timing, fluid, solenoid, etc access)

    Thanks :)

We have a bit more to release before vF Tuner 1.3.0 release which has a buunch of goodies.

    some things like
    - 2018+ fast programming
    - Enhanced Datalogger
    - Pro Tuner RAM Read beta (access to ram read values like torque tables, target on various tables, that are normally not possible to log)
    - some goodies related to traction control
    - a lot of goodies related to 4WD ;)

Sounds like the new version of reset LV and AT. Transmission Control Unit/ Module? Should be some instruction somewhere ....

Yes it is reset LV / AT,

Rest LV is not really special. Just resets trims (fuel, ignition) DTC / freeze frame, etc. you could technically spam it as much as you want, won't hurt anything but your wallet (mpg).

Reset AT (which is now Reset TCU) is a bit more involved. You should NOT do this unless you have made SIGNIFICANT changes to your transmission tune and torque values. On top of that there are DRIVE cycles that MUST be completed before you can reset the TCU again.

our software explains that you should NOT reset the TCU unless
    1. You have significantly changed the torque table parameters for the TCU
    2. Significantly changed the shift scheduling / shift tables. Small changes should not count.
    3. Replaced your transmission.
a 4th criteria will be added when we release full TCU solenoid tuning (if you change pressure controls, clutch packs, shift control timing, etc)

edit** sorry this is in the wrong thread. I did not mean to post this in PapaRees tuning thread.

Just got 6.0 today on my MT and over all I can say I'm very happy with it. If you're in Mississippi or surrounding definitely recommend meeting up with @AbnMP13, he's professional and easy to get along with. Ended up getting 2 mpg's better on the 80 mile trip home with cruise set at 75. Improvements I've noticed around town include way smoother power band up the rpm range and better throttle response. No more big power surge at 3500 rpm or whatever it was, the power comes on much nicer now. No this will not transform your truck into a race car but I can feel more useable torque down low. Before I used to have bad surging at the bottom of second gear accelerating from a near stop, this seems to have solved that completely. Biggest surprise is the 7250 rpm redline, this thing screams with the HPS intake tube. Big thanks to @PapaRee for all your efforts and to @AbnMP13 for meeting up and installing
