Hacked up the TechDeck from my Tacoma and put it in the GX. Not quite as rock solid, since it only screws in on one side and the top, but it’s good.

Frees up some space in the cabin that my phone was taking up. God damn these things have zero storage

460 has more than the 470...I have no place to put my wallet in my 470. I have to use a cup holder to hold my wallet and phone. The center “console” storage is a fuckin joke

Yup I feel ya. Coming from the Tacoma that had like 16 cup holders and tons of storage it’s been tough to get used to

Other than knowing trans temps I really don't see the point.

That’s the main reason I am getting it is to read trans temps. Wish I had it last year when I hauled a max capacity trailer across country.

Or when your SAIS goes out, you can just push a button to clear codes.

Already did the bypass which reminds me I still need to install the plates.

Which will be probably be another CMC situation where I haven’t gotten the plates installed for that either.

Copying Owl Expedition's media mount, I made this. I wanted a magnetic mount. If I did it over again, I wouldn't have made it stick out quite so far.

If that's all you care about, there are much cheaper ways. I bought a $15 OBD Bluetooth plug in from Amazon and then I paid $5 for the Torque Pro app. Pair it with my phone and voila. The hardest part was finding and programming the app to know how to read my trans temp. I'm sure if you google it, someone has the PID you need for the GX.

I’m gonna pull the entire sias out of mine. Been talking to Hewitt about what needs to be done. Seems simple enough if I end up pulling the motor.

I'm pretty sure my starter is starting to go. So I thought about installing the Hewitt when I'm in there anyways. But my SAIS system was replaced by the PO in 2015 to the tune of $2000. So I'll probably not worry about it right now.

Things to work on this weekend:

    1. install Rad Rubber mats
    2. install Prado Console
    3. Rework head unit to make flush mounted, install car play cable, and install sport a/c vents
    4. Try and source the root of my heated seats not working
    5. Source the root of why my license plate bulb is burning out

You sadly cannot keep the dark wood as the Prado never got it. It’s black around the shifter area. Boo.

Working on my OvErLaNd RiG :duh:

Decided to make a table to be extra bougie when I go "wheeling" with the jeepers. Gotta be able to make bologna sammichs in style. Couldn't think of a way to make an unobtrusive latch, so I drilled an extra hole in each washer to pull it tight. I spent a total of $1.62 on screws. Everything else I had laying around.
