    *** Updates ***

Long night but I have managed to convert the file for use on 2019 AT trucks with 04B33 ECU IDs.

The test vehicle will be uploading it to his truck in the next day or so and testing it for any issues.

Any 2019s with 04B33 are welcome to purchase a copy of the tune if they want at this time, just note updates to your file may come depending on test results.

I also identified an issue unique to the torque converter locking which seems specific to this model year truck. 5th gear on some tunes may experience consistent locking and unlocking of the TC when cruising. I've made the work around in VR 2.0.2 but it will need to be tested by my guy since he is able to replicate it 100% on his truck.

    --------------------------------------------

Tomorrow evening I will begin converting 2018 AT trucks with the ECU ID 04A61.

We are about 4 days ahead of the anticipated schedule with the process. Look for this ECU to be completed by this weekend.

    *** Quality of Life Update v2.0.2 ***

I have smoothed over a shift point for 3-4 which was caused by the direct injection settings and atkinson compensation. All customers will, as promised, receive this update to their email and/or TW messages. Look for the message to arrive within the next day, if it doesn't please reach out so I can provide this new file.

    *** Update ***

2018 AT trucks with ECU ID 04A61 now have access to Valley Runner 2.0.2

The file is currently being tested by a few trucks and will have the functionality checked.

As of now the tune is available for this platform noting the stipulation that changes/updates/and bugs may occur in the early stages.

The conversion process was 98% straight forward, therefore I am not expecting many bugs if any at all.

    *** Update ***

2020 AT trucks with 04B81 ECU IDs are converted. My tester is running the file to check for final functionality.

As with the others it is available for anyone else to use noting that changes/updates/ and bugs may occur in the early days of this conversion. None are expected since the port over was the same for the other ECU IDs

2.0.2 is still the most up to date version.

I’m finalizing conversions for the 2021 AT trucks and starting to look for the correct process to convert for manuals

That’s good to hear. I know there is someone in Kansas running the tune who got 24 on the interstate. Flat land makes me a little jealous for gas savings

@TermLimits will you be uploading a free version of the 1.8 tune + 33in tires for the 04b33 ecu? I'm interested in purchasing, but I wanted to try it out first.

I can look into making the conversion in the next few days. Just note that 1.8 isn’t supported by me anymore. Meaning any personalized changes besides tires and gears won’t be made.

No worries. I read through most of the VF tuner collab thread and really vibed with your belief of maximize power, then tone it down to find the efficiency. I just wanted a little sampler. I appreciate how organized your tune thread is and will probably pay for the 2.0 based purely off of that haha

    *** Updates ***

Ladies and Gentlemen after a longer than expected delay, Valley Runner 2.0.2 is now available for ALL 3rd Gen automatic transmission trucks. (2016-2021 AT)

Work on the manual transmission version will be delayed since testing will not happen as quickly and the fundamentals of VR are centered on functions utilizing the transmission to hold RPMs at appropriate levels.

    Additionally,
I have lowered the pricing of in person tuning to $175. Since VR is geared towards those wishing to save money on their fuel costs I do not wish to price out those wanting the file but not being able to justify the return on investment.

    *** Upcoming ***

I have had a request to lessen the accelerator sensitivity on low speed rolling starts. I've made these adjustments and have begun testing the functionality myself. So far it is performing similar to the original VR files, I have noticed a .2 drop in mpg however this could be due to winds/speed differences/etc. I will conclude my testing in the next day or so and allow the individual who request this update to test as well.

Should it prove to be a viable option, VR will be updated to all current users. VR 2.0.3 will be the version number and include a Light, Moderate, and Heavy version.

Those of you who currently run on Standard will now run on the Moderate file, Heavy will remain the same for those with larger tires or camper shells, and Light will be for those who want a extremely OEM feel on the pedal.

Thank you guys for the continued support and I look forward to any feedback.

Looking forward to trying the light version. I’ve gotten pretty good at keeping the acceleration smooth but a few times it will sneak up on me.
