    Hello All,

I have been searching for this info for a while. IF there a is a forum with this info available, please leave the link.

I have a SnugTop Super Sport shell, i am trying to find the dynamic/static weight of the shell. In the future I'd like to get a nice RTT. Just curious if it would be safe with this topper. I have checked their website, nothing mentions anything about weight. I have recently reached out to a local supplier of the shell and am currently awaiting a reply. Thanks all.

Per my dealer that I went to this morning, the regular Snugtop shell (any models) can hold up to 300 lbs. Anything beyond that, she recommended to add a reinforcement that can hold up to 500 lbs.

    from Snugtop website...

How much weight can the truck caps and tonneau covers hold?

The weight that a shell can handle is approximately 150-175lbs. The tonneau covers will typically hold about 75lbs. Our SNUGPRO with rack has been tested up to 500lbs

That is very interesting. I do appreciate the info. The route that I'll eventually go is to by a smaller sized utility trailer. Mount a RTT on it and just transport that little trailer anywhere. Relatively cost effective, trailer registration in Texas isn't much.

Getting a utility trailer is a good idea so you don't have to carry RTT everywhere with you when you don't need it. Good luck with the purchase. Mine wo t come in for 2 more months...

Snugtop rebel with vented windoors. I really like the look of Supersport or gbsport but when I go camping I tend to reach the side of my bed rather than crawling into the bed. It was a tough decision to make

I honestly wish I had some windoor's. But the supersport came on the truck when purchased so I can't complain too much. Wasn't my style at first, but the security piece of mind just made it so useful and now I love it!
