you should be able to check continuity of the fuses with a multimeter without even pulling them. That’s why they have a tiny bit of metal exposed on top. Shouldn’t take long to check every one.

 

So there’s two bolts on bottom of plastic cover then your push it forward towards the engine and it pops off. There’s little hooks under it. Basically just cut slits in back cover so hooks would hook onto the metal bars. Def worth it and it wasn’t bad just took more time. It’s just more durable and I like the plastic on the back. I don’t have any pics but it literally looks exactly like if it was OEM. You would never know

 

It’s an x-trek insert I believe. Pretty pricey as it’s extra for the mesh, is only the insert, and letters sold separately. Beautiful tho.

Exactly. Turn the accessory circuit and the lights on. Use a meter set to read DC voltage. Ground one lead (the black one), and touch the metal points on both the left and right side of the fuse. A blown one will show voltage on one of those contacts only. You can run through the whole box in no time like RallySOP said.

 

I was actually thinking to leave everything off and just check the resistance across each fuse with the ohmmeter. But either would work.

Some photos of a 4 day trip to Big Bend National Park last week. Backlogged on updates and photos since this was my 2nd multi-day trip in 4 weeks. I will say that I learned a lot during this trip about my set up, my truck, and driving off-road during the day and night through (easy) rocks, sand, washboard sections, gravel, dirt etc. If you've been to Big Bend, we went off-road down old ore road to Ernst Tinaja, River Road East all the way to River Road West (glad I installed camp lights cause they came in handy wheeling at night). Will definitely be back to tackle black gap road (plus trying to hike the other trails we didn't get to).

Also, ran into a fellow with a '16 desert sand tacoma. Wish I got his contact but running into him was one of the highlights of the trip.

 

Give it a little more time to cure, they will dissipate eventually. Mine took about a week or so but the weather was warm out here. The colder the temp, the longer it takes, but they will go away.

Shhh. Don't tell folks about Big Bend. Great for Trucks and Motorcycles. Busiest during Easter week so avoid. Giant bluebonnets (lupins) bloom before Easter. Cactus blooms after Easter. Do not go during summer months!

Yep, I made that mistake. I went once... in June lol. 104° and I thought we were camping. Ended up paying too much to stay at their lodge and then left with my tail between my legs for the 14 hour drive back home to Louisiana.

I will go back, but it'll be during winter for sure. I'd take 4° over 104° honestly.

 

Let me adjust my statement. Theres two bolts on drivers side and three on the passenger side plastic. also to take it off you pull back towards back of cab and to put it on you push towards engine to hook it back in and the rehooking is the hardest part because all the extra material makes it a little difficult
