Good Morning guys! Back to work we go! Hope everyone has a blessed day. Weekend looks promising, haven’t been camping in a few weekends. Might lose my mind if I don’t get to go this weekend.
Any recommendations on a good quiet campground? I don’t want to travel more than an hour and a half from Clay County, AL (pretty much Cheaha).

If I can get it figured out, I would sell you a set I recently built and build another one for myself. These were a product of me not being happy with the strength of most sliders on the market

Gotcha, they look as good as any other slider I’ve seen. What do you plan to do different with your next set?

I think some brands are holding parts in Australia to meet their demand instead of shipping them to the USA...

I moved the mounting bracket but still had vibes then I realized Im pretty dumb. I installed the carrier bearing upside down lol now I have no vibes at all. Truck drives like it did before the conversion

    Before, hanging down pretty low

Make sure you have enough spline engagement. The first time your truck goes into some flexy situations the shaft could fall out or if its got too much it could bind the drivetrain.

Nothing much! Mowed and trimmed 2 yards this weekend, went to Huntsville to pick up an AR yesterday, and changed out the oil on Jeannie's 4runner this weekend. I wish Toyota would bring back the spin on filter!

The shaft I had that was 4wd bolted up same way but spline was too jammed in there so it didn't provide enough room for it to compress. If i had taken it off-road it would have bound up.

You used extension brackets? I extended my driveshaft mount back by about 2 inches. The thing that compresses isn’t compressed at all, that what you mean?

Yes I did, I initially did that and then didn’t like it. For one reason it will be much stronger to mount directly to the frame. Also your have to take the boot off to see the spline engagement.

    https://4xshaft.com/blogs/faq/how-much-of-my-spline-should-be-showing

Here’s what I had initially and after I shortened my prerunner one. Fits like OEM!

Yea I’m going to eventually. Gonna put a flange, new u joints and a new carrier bearing on it before I get it shortened. The setup I have now will hold me over though. Already done some decent wheeling with it, seems to work well
