    well, i mean...it makes sense.
stealing TV and computers. Fine but everything has serial numbers to track and technology changes so quickly you have to be able to sell it right away.
Legos...not super heavy although bulky. Prices only go up, no way to really track each set and no ones ever going to tire of them so you can sell at your leisure.

I built the McLaren Senna GTR yesterday. I liked that it was a smaller scale technic build. This is one of the few sets I think they could have actually sold for more than the $50 they list it for.

Looks pretty sharp! This is one I've been considering a bit; your pics really help sell the final model

Thanks! I think you will be happy with it. I hope they keep making smaller scale technic sets like this one and the Jeep, other than the fact that it's a Jeep of course.

Been cleaning up and rebuilding sets from the old bricks again. First up are Gamma V Laser Craft and Black Falcon's Fortress. These weren't part of my childhood collection growing up, but instead from a tub of bricks I was given in high school. I knew there were probably some complete sets but never really liked into it. For certain there are a few more 80s castle sets yet to go

Alas, it wasn’t enough to prevent a ding to one of the corners...:annoyed:

    Neat looking stuff!

Did you see their new SH-3A that released for preorder last week? A good friend of mine designed it, this is his first model they bought the rights to. Pretty exciting stuff

Yeah, they do amazing kits but man, they're pricey... I'm on their email list and am kicking myself I missed out on the Gemini Capsule they released for preorder last week.. I did get the Gemini/Titan though.

They seem to do a good job too in supporting the community. MOC competitions and such.. Might be reason enough to move to Minneapolis in retirement:D

I have a few of their sets and am always happy with them. Customer service is excellent too. Had the wrong piece on a Spitfire and they sent the right one a couple of days later. On par with LEGO if you ask me.

That Sea King is KICK ASS!! Give George my kudos. It's got to be exciting to be picked up like that. Might he have plans for a CH-46? Any chance he’d offer a TW discount if he did

You two have incredible designing skills

Yeah, Brickmania seems like a solid bunch. Unfortunately despite my occasionally questionable purchases, I personally can't justify their prices. Not saying they should be cheaper, I fully understand the work that goes into each Brickmania kit and why they are priced as such. They still seem to have no problem selling out of stock. I'm going to Brick Days in Council Bluffs in July, hoping to meet Dan while I'm there.

Will passed that on to George, and I wish he could give a discount! Not sure about a CH-46. Pretty sure his next kit is a C-RAM collab for which he designed the HEMTT.

And thanks, glad you like our work! If you have Instagram and want to see more of his stuff, look up @georgegoboom

Rainy Saturday means time for more old set rebuilds!

Solo Trainer. A buddy of mine recently rebuilt his, so I figured I'd do the same. It's one of the earlier sets I remember specifically.

    20210410_142114.jpg

Forestmen's River Fortress. Another from the collection I got in high school, and I had to buy a new baseplate for it. I really like this one a lot, and it's now the only Forestmen set I've ever had or built

    20210410_142039.jpg

Black Knight's Castle. The pride of my childhood collection after my ships. The baseplate had definitely seen better days, but I'm glad to see it standing proudly again. The only missing piece is one of the white side plumes on one of the knights. This was the only set that had those in white and I'm not going to pay the absurd price people want for a replacement. Hopefully it'll turn up...

    20210410_141956.jpg

Lastly, Ice Planet. I absolutely loved this theme as a kid but only had these four smaller sets. Ice Planet was only released for one year/seven sets, and I really wish they had done more with it.

    20210410_142142.jpg

This has been a lot of fun; looking forward to building more!
