anyone have info on the fox proframe? i know it's been out of stock for awhile, but everywhere i look it says "not available", not "out of stock".

was there something wrong with the design so they aren't selling it anymore?

probably just the bike supply shortage problem of 2020-2021 covid related. or you can blame the evergiven if you want. hahah.

Yeah I figured the great bike shortage was responsible. My search only led to one instance of the helmet causing damage rather than deflecting it. Hoping these come back instock this summer. I'd like to try a light weight full face for normal riding

Had to improvise on my bike mounting after installing the voodoo rack:

    D8ABA626-1A6C-47EF-A1FC-1392DCD2C297.jpg

Really need to get a hitch mount but waiting on my RTT to take some measurements and make sure it clears since I’m going to have a ~6” overhang

Nice. I have one and it's been a great lightweight full face. Good enough to ride on the uphills but also on the dh specific trails. I take it with me to Virgin, UT all the time. As well as any bike park laps. :)

Don’t tell my doctor! Lol. I wore it on hiline and all the hog trails but this trail is mellow compared to those.

If you go to the designated sites, yes. Otherwise plenty of camping around if you look for it. It just might not be right by the trails. Hit me up if you want directions to that spot.
So many variables. Casings, width, rim profile, terrain, riding style, etc.
Stan’s formula is a good starting point though.

For the 203 a regular adapter works, with a couple washers under to adjust for the extra 3mm.
Assegai! The assegai is such a great tire. But, I recently rediscovered the Magic Mary, and with the new compounds and casings, those things are impressive!

My first Dissector was a Maxx Gripp(?) and that was consistent with your experience, but you can now get it in a 120tpi 3C+ Maxx Gripp Dissector. It's holding up much better.

I think you are here in Utah, but the Aggressor, good lord, even coming down Jacobs Ladder, when you get into the sandy stuff, that tire may as well have been a slick.

Thanks for the help, got the rotors, pads, and brackets ordered. stepping up to 200s front and rear, I was surprised it didn't have a 200 upfront though being the Firebird 29.
I feel it's possibly the best bang for buck brake upgrade I could do.

What's the reasoning for the oddball sizes of 203 and 223?

After yesterday I’m seriously considering going to a 203 rotor up front. Pretty sure I have a 20mm adapter new in the package somewhere.

The 203 requires a different bracket than just the 20mm adapter. I don't know this from experience, but that was stated earlier.

Correct. With a couple washers. As also stated in said earlier statement ;)

    Ah, didn’t even notice.

So, why do 203mm even exist? It's just an odd ball number.

No clue. It is odd. Sadly I didn’t even know 200 existed until today. Always thought the 203 was the standard in that range.

I am new to the Tacoma World as I just picked my DCLB 3 days ago. I have had an Evil Following V1 since 2015, and received my Offering V2 3 weeks ago (yes I am officially broke now) My Following is an amazing bike, ridden pretty much everywhere in New England. After 6 or so rides on The Offering V2 I feel it climbs just as well if not better, I haven't been on much DH stuff yet as things are still drying out from the winter. I think it will be a lot more fun. Can't really go wrong with any of the Evil bikes 20210403_140132.jpg

Strapped it down at two points (fork and frame) with bungees otherwise it would probably hit the tailgate sliding around and scratch it up. It worked out surprisingly well though.
