Yesterday. Took her out to stretch her legs after putting on the 34s. Still stuffs really well. Had a little contact with the pass side cab mount even though it's chopped pretty good. Only happened once, point down hill, turning right, on the brakes. Not even mad about it, but will remedy. 20210403_210339.jpg 20210405_143253.jpg 20210403_212925.jpg

Installed my RCI sliders - thanks to the group buy! They are the standard angle and powder coated. Much prefer this to the predator steps that came with the truck.

I noticed it was better on my way home from work today. Must be sitting all day in the sun helped. Now I only see one of the spots if the sun hits it just right. It was a week ago today I installed it. Patience was never my strong point.

They shatter easily. I’m on my third windshield in 2 and a half years.

Safelite is 100% a mixed bag. The positive is that they’re a one stop shop unless you’re lifted. If you’re lifted then they won’t recalibrate the TSS. The good news is that calibration isn’t really necessary unless the installer is a Bull in a China shop. The dealer told me that unless your TSS light is on then is is functioning as it should be and calibration is not necessary.

I will say that my last two experiences with Safelite guaranteed there won’t be a third time. The first was about three years ago. They ruined the windshield moldings on my Accord using a screwdriver as a pry tool. That cost them a chunk. Then this last windshield replacement in the Taco they had to take the windshield back out and reinstall it due to forgetting to put a bottom molding on which gave me a bad leak. Fortunately they were able to save it but still a waste of time.

Thats true if it came from/off of the vehicle, not if they kicked it up.

Finally finished building my DIY U-bolt rack system. I know you guys are jealous of the color coding. But this is basically such a space saver and so much cheaper (and way more work, lol) than a Prinsu set up. Part of me wonders if it would've been easier in the long run, but I dunno...this makes me feel like I built something cool. IMG_5290.jpgIMG_5286.jpg

Found it on offerup. Got it from some guy in Long Beach for 3k even. He was cool and even helped me install it. I had to wire the third break light on my own back home.

Thanks! The best part for me is that it all comes apart, gets stored in a little box and the bars fold up for those times of the year when I don't want to look like a turtle and don't want the wind noise.

I just had my windshield replaced, too. Was on the way home from a trip about 3 weeks ago and took a rock to the lower driver's side of the windshield. Within 20 minutes, the chip turned into a huge vertical crack, about 18" long.

I have State Farm insurance with a $100 glass break deductible. The claim process was done online, and I got to pick the shop I wanted to use. I called my local Toyota dealer to ask if they replace them. They told me that they do not, but they gave me the name of the shop in town that they use. That shop was listed in State Farm's directory, so I selected them.

They called me a few hours later to schedule the replacement, and I insisted that they use an OEM windshield. They said that OEM parts require approval from my insurance, but they reached out and received that approval. I dropped my truck off the next morning, and the windshield was delivered to them that same morning. They installed the new one, and their "calibration guy" showed up at 3:00 pm to re-calibrate the sensor. I picked the truck up at 4:00, and have had zero issues in the 3 weeks since it's been repaired.

Has anyone put an aftermarket grille on their TRD Pro? I've never seen it and nobody has come up with the idea either
