Hey all, new tacoma owner here and I've been having a puzzling chirping noise issue that can be heard inside the cabin, almost as if it's emanating from there but not entirely sure about that yet.
It's a high pitched, almost dog whistle high , short chirp that only occurs driving over bumps , at any speed above a crawl.
Almost sounds electronic but I think I've ruled the radio itself out.

Most small bump sets it off but big bumps don't make it chirp any louder & The duration of the individual chirps dont change with speed, braking, etc. I hear it just as well on the highway as I do going 15 on backroads.
Checked my dash panels, jumped around on all sides of the vehicle, don't believe it's the suspension.
All I could find was that I could recreate it sometimes if I shut the doors hard.
It's a 15 base model double cab, any help appreciated

What about turning your blower off?

If you have the Entune radio it has a cooling fan that runs full time. Mine is getting a little noisy.

Huh never would of thought of that, I do have the basic etune system , no nav or anything.
Maybe I can pull the fuse to test that, any idea if that would reset/ require me to enter a security code? Not sure if I currently have it.

Tacoma radios have no security features that I'm aware of, they are relatively easy to remove and install if you find that is your noise.

I know you said you don't think its suspension. But mine has a similar noise and its my rear leaf springs. Sounds like a chirp to me

If nobody has a solution something you could look into. Some tool called chassis ear or something like that. I’m sure it isn’t cheap and might not do it for you, you’ll need to read up on what it does.

Yeah I believe that's still a possibility, mine have an expected amount of surface rust of them for the age. Been thinking about hitting them with fluid film but I've seen alot of debate on the efficacy of lubing leaf springs

Mine are so GD noisy. Tried a couple different silicone lubricants, lasted for less than a day.

I've seen somewhere on here that you can cut up a bicycle tube and put it between the springs to help quiet them down
