That's the day we go back to mtn.

 

He is so far north that every direction is south

 

Arctic Circle is 343 miles north and a 10 to 12 hour drive. I'm in southcentral Alaska. But you know all this...point was does that make you feel better?

... obviously not.

You really need to go camping. Like really soon...it's not cold up next to the campfire.

I do enjoy those things I have two large blueberry bushes and a red and black raspberry patch in my back yard, along with a mulberry tree. The deer tend to get the mulberries and the birds try to get the blueberries so my wife puts a net over it. Oh, and I have two European black currant bushes. They are a cousin to the cranberry. They make a great fruit sauce for pancakes and I put them in my buckwheat and oatmeal as well.

I do pick red and black raspberries on my walks as well. Most of those I or my grandson eat on the spot. I get so many blueberries off my bushes that we freeze them for the winter. It's better than paying supermarket prices.
