Oh - it doesn't end there. My house is done, so now my wife is now finding projects for me at our son's place. But, I'm like he's a big boy now he can do his own damn renovations.

Looks better than the screen door I put in my office so the cats can't get in and the computers don't turn it into a sauna.

It'll be nice when it warms up a little more and I can just leave the window open while I use the office.

I’m looking for a new lawnmower. Does anyone have an EGO mower, and would you buy it again?

I'll be that guy. I bought a Kobalt 80V Electric mower and it's super nice. Self-Propelled, powerful, and I can mow my lawn on one battery if its not overgrown, 2 if it is. If it gets bogged down it just runs the motor faster to compensate, no more stalling mower. It's strong enough to shear a brick in half too. Oops.

The best part is, its quiet enough, it just sounds like a vacuum cleaner from inside the house.

No personal experience with the EGO Electric line of products, but I've watched a few YouTube videos of car detailers using the EGO blower to dry their cars. Seems to work well.

I still have this Husqvarna one, but hate it as the batteries went junk after a year and it always shuts off at full throttle every few seconds. https://www.lowes.com/pd/Husqvarna-...less-Cordless-Electric-Leaf-Blower/1000116141

So, I ended up buying this 2 stroke Stihl BR450 about a year ago even though my lot is only roughly 6k square feet. https://www.stihlusa.com/products/blowers-and-shredder-vacs/professional-blowers/br450/
It's one of my favorite noise makers and my neighbors too!

(BTW, one of my neighbors is a renter that frequently brings their dog over on a leash to relieve itself in my front yard, constantly peeks over the back fence, and the landlord refuses to do any maintenance/repairs on the house. My other neighbor is a hoarder like literally from the t.v show hoarders.)

I can vouch for the Toro battery line. The mower turns up the rpm based on resistance, neighbors couldn't believe how quiet it is. The mower matches your walking speed, which is sweet. The blower is strong, two speeds. I've got the trimmer and hedge trimmer too, two seasons and everything still runs as new. I like that they sell with batter and charger or individual tool, and now they're selling in bundles. I wish they'd sell a battery yard vac, only gas unit I have.

Working (as a Sub) on some finish carpentry work on an airbnb renovation on a cottage on the Maine coast. Should be about 2 weeks of work. Made up these steps to get from one area that's lower than the main cottage. Drop was 13", so some 2x6's, 1x6's and oak treads were perfect. Got a coat of poly on treads before I left on Friday. Will install towards the end of the project.

Was looking to get some thoughts on my deck and the support posts. We have a 3/4 wrap around deck on our 2 story and a 10’x2.5’ section that sticks out further than the rest of the deck. We are removing the shed below the deck but it has two vertical support beams on each corner going to the ground. I was wondering how dependent the deck is on those supports and if it would be possible to put horizontal bracing or diagonal instead of the vertical.

My driveway is inclined so I always thought of using the space under the deck for working on my truck, but the supports are in the way.
