Cooking (or heating) food is not one of my stronger skills. Come to think of it, I don't have any strong skills.:(

OK, I’ve been thinking about this ham for a day or two now, what did you do to that thing? Raw cured? Double smoked/cooked? I must know!

Currently researching and looking into an enclosed two car hauler... something like 8.5 wide and 28 ft long to get my midget and roommates sprite to our autocross events. The bigger issue than finding a trailer, is finding a truck to haul it with. Currently looking at dually diesel options from the big three. Anybody have inputs/experiences to share?

It comes down to what flavor you like.

Just find one taken care of the best .

I have had all 3 engines I liked the Cummins the best just never cared for the Dodge Truck Cab

I am pretty much a Ford Person when it comes to full size trucks.

ive found that as well. Dodge interiors fall apart, Chevy/GMC IFS front end on a full size rig is no bueno, Ford seem like they leak more oil than they hold. Every brand has their own pros and cons. I’m not in need of keeping up with the joneses so my old crusty 7.3 works just fine, but if you want a new diesel get ready to pay through the nose for the truck as well as any repair costs.

What kind of Circuit is this like leave Thursday to get there for Saturday Morning?

Unless your also putting a full shop into the trailer do you really need a Diesel ?? seems many of the Rig Welders are going back to gasoline.

All of them have their problems, it’s just a matter of which one you prefer to tackle.

If you find one you’re interested in do lots of research, some have CP4 injection pumps which are trash, some have bad trans problems, I ran into that with my ‘03 duramax. I didn’t know it was going into limp mode until I pulled the camper or tractor and that cost us $4,800 to rebuild.

I agree with @6 gearT444E and I’d rather have my older non emissions diesel than a newer one with it although the newer ones have lots more features. Give me power windows and A/C and I’m good :D

It's amazing how much torque the newer ones put out, and they do run quiet and smell alot less lol. The towing features, cameras, technology built in is pretty amazing as well. I'm ok with using the mirrors, my brain, and the clutch pedal. But for all the extra maintenance costs if you don't need a diesel I wouldn't get one. Some of the towing numbers on the newer gassers are pretty impressive as well. Just put a big whistle on the exhaust pipe and pretend
