Dammit Doug, you got me

Oh yea, forgot to mention. The Subaru didn't pan out, so I've been on another hunt for a beater with a heater to drive to work. Another co-workers (and friend) wife is wanting to sell her '95 Eagle Talon (FWD, non-turbo). Actually helped put the engine in it back in 2006. Like the 'baru it's got gobs of miles, but that's what you get for the price. Also has the 5 speed that I like! If they don't change their mind (like the other one, GRRR!) I hope to pick it up in a week or two. Gonna need a buncha work, but it is what it is... It's got a loud ass muffler on it so I'm not gonna be able to sneak through the neighborhood, but it's a nice stainless steel unit that cost quite a bit.

My neighbors are gonna shit themselves this Spring/Summer. I got a buncha work to do to the Mercedes, Jeep, and possibly this; it's gonna look like a mechanic shop!

But when one is used to dragging Welding leads and a extension cord what is another air hose till the end of the day they areall braided together.

Down Side to Air grinders in the Winter they really get cold from the Air Flowing through.

Question: I am looking into an off-road, if I decide to put a 2 inch lift on it, will I still be able to retain factory locker without having to modify it? Thanks!

Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!! Another nice April day in store for us today!

I spent some time in our stable getting it ready to fix the burst water pipe that feeds a small sink. Cut the copper tubing and unscrewed the old porcelain-coated cast iron sink my father-in-law screwed into the wall. He ran the water line himself - using my brothers-in-law as child labor - many years ago. Of course, it's not below the frost line so I have to turn it off every winter. It sprung a leak this past fall so I need to fix it. I have an old sink base and plastic wash sink that I'll put in - and bridge from copper to Pex to make my life simpler.

I also pulled out an old chipper/shredded that hasn't been run in many years - another purchase my father in law made long ago. Checked the oil, put in a little gas, sprayed a little starter fluid, choke on....started on the first pull. I was able to find a manual on-line and ordered a new air filter and drive belt, will change the oil and put it to work on the brush I still need to clear. It has a tow bar - turns out I'm missing a piece so I found a new one on Amazon and that's on the way, too.

Today, I'm going to put the new parts on the brush cutter and try to get it running. Life is good.

@RustyGreen I bought the splash guards through a guy here on TW - in the 3rd BST. Simple swap and much better coverage.

I’m behind the giant, we practically neighbors.... I’m coming into the busy season of the year for me. I’d help out with the lift install in your garage....between work and the start of the grass season....I’ll keep in touch and see what happens in the coming weeks.

There's a reason we work in the mornings, all the local un-licensed entrepreneurs are still sleeping off their night shift.

Short answer is yes, you can keep the locker and basically everything else as-is.

You'll need UCAs to fix alignment (caster) unless you like super twitchy steering.

Much over 2" longer brake lines become a good idea, and so does bending the brackets for the wiring on the rear axle to give it a little more slack.
