Brand New 2021 Off Road!

It’s been a while since my last post. Years! Traded in my 2018 super white and picked up a 2021 silver Off Road. The only real difference is I did not go for the premium package this time. The JBL is not worth it to me. The stereos in these trucks seriously fall short and the leather and sunroof aren’t important to me. So here we are! Wasn’t my plan to go silver, but with such a shortage of inventory and nothing on the horizon, I jumped on it. The 2018 lease was up in a month...

Anyway, I’m actually loving the silver. Picked it up Saturday and already have some upgrades. Ripped the stickers off and upgraded to the 17” 4Runner TRD Pro wheels. Going to do black badges and maybe a pro grill. The new stock grill doesn’t bother me though. Big upgrade from my 2018 with the chrome surround.

Looks great! The wheels really make the truck. How easy/hard was it to remove the decal?

What package do you have to get to get the colored rear bumper? Used to be you had to get the premium package but I didn’t know if that changed or not. You said you didn’t get the upgraded radio, leather and sunroof so I thought that always gave you the colored rear bumper.

 

They all come with painted bumpers now

SSM is a seriously underrated color. Yes I have one, but if you look at the paint and the way it shows the curves and looks clean most of the time, it's a great color on these trucks. Not trendy for sure, but it's a well done classic.

 

I don't think this is true. My dealer has several '21 OR's with the chrome caps.

I wasn't super excited about getting silver, but now that I have one I really like it.

You need the technology package with the parking sensors if you're getting an OR.

The chrome is stock on a base OR. Way it's always been.

 

Exactly. Which is what OP has since you can see the sensors.

 

My AG 2021 TRD OR MT came with the chrome rear bumper covers. My only options were the door sill protectors and all weather floormats.
Maybe Wisconsin still likes it's chrome.

Very nice... let me know about the black-out-badge set you get. Thinking of doing the same on my super-white. No idea why they went with Chrome. They should have come stock with black-out badges and make Chrome an upgrade for those who want it.
