Interest charges by day so paying half in advance saves 15 +/- days of interest… just my guess

My work partner bought a Toyota Highlander back a few months ago due to a growing family. She has it set up where she pays half of as you described. And last half in later in the month (basically 2nd pay check). Something about making half payments beats out the interest. Not sure of the logic of it, but if it works, so be it. :notsure:

I got it off Ebay. And the supplier was none other than BAM itself. The trade offs are, BAM has "free" shipping via Ebay. Their own website charges shipping. Ebay charges sales tax. BAM's site doesn't (which if you are in Ohio, it might since that is where they are located). Honestly, Ebay was about $5-6 cheaper.

You can use "minus20" to knock off 20% of shipping on BAM's own site. It's not a whole lot, but every bit counts.

This is the link I got mine from on Ebay:

Thanks. I’m always really paranoid about getting wiring routed well and sealed up. Nothing worse than electrical issues! Especially when a little extra time could prevent it

That is a really nice looking Honda. I'd like to have that in my shop. As I grew up, I went through the Honda series of bikes, 90 (CL), 175, 350, 450, 750. Nice to see the Trail 90.

I see the mirrors are missing but aside from that it looks to be in exceptionally good condition.

I had it on my 2018 windshield. I was patiently waiting for the camera to come in the mail via Toyota; it never came so I upgraded trucks!!

I love the Honda’s (and everything else). It joined a 00 750 Knighthawk, 76 CB 550 Four and 81 CX500C with the factory silver wing interstate package. 83 Bonneville TSX, 09 Speed Triple, 83 FXRS, 17 Low Rider S and 19 Road Glide Special round out the lineup. 6 are in the house (tastefully placed on stands of course). It’s a sickness, meetings haven’t helped. TW is a support group and you know how that always turns out!

I looked some up when I got my truck but was too worried about sensors and not being able to work properly. Seems that anything aftermarket somehow has given problems with almost every grille out there. Though they can get it fixed I don’t want Toyota playing some game about voiding my warranty as some have stated in here.

I believe you have to pay once every two weeks, not twice a month. That makes a difference because you’re paying 26 times a year roughly.

We were there in January and still couldn't find campsites consistently without having to move every night. Definitely need reservations (we're retired so we're not on a set schedule). Had temps into the 20s and snow on the ground at the upper campground. It's a great place to explore with your truck

Have you checked around for a used fuel tank with their hoses?

I'll remember to plan ahead when I get the chance to go back. Do they have trails safe for 2wd?

You have an awesome RIG by the way. I always enjoy your photos.

I did get the OEM one. There was a 10% off with free shipping offer a week or two back so I picked it up for $80 shipped to my door.

I haven’t hauled anything yet but it definitely has a tacky feeling (in a good way) so I’m sure things won’t slide.

I already have the softopper, but I am positive I’ll remember this post immediately after the first time I have the top folded up in the summer and inevitably burn my hand doing the same thing. Lol

Yup, that's the concept! Ideally paying everyday 1/30th of your monthly bill would trim it even more, but gets ridiculous obviously. If I'm remembering correctly, doing this with your mortgage trims about 6 years off of a 30 year mortgage

Its a combination of two things:

    1) On a simple interest loan your interest is calculated daily. If you pay half the payment on the first, and half on the 15th then the amount the interest is calculated against drops down faster.

    2) If you pay every other week (as most people are paid), it tends to be easier for budgeting purposes, and you end up making one full extra payment a year (26 paychecks equals 13 full payments in a year versus 12 if you just pay monthly)

So paying half every paycheck generally doesn’t hurt much in the wallet, but ends up saving you some cash.
