I replaced my SPC upper ball joints. The passenger side had a bunch of vertical slop! I have 103,000 miles on them; but I think it’s been bad for quite a while. There was a mystery clunk that I thought was just some of my gear in the bed. Turns out it was that ball joint - yikes!

I installed the upgraded 25001 joints.

That's too many six's. Now if it was 666... I would have parked it, left the keys and walked away forever. On the other hand, 666.6 might be more evil. :notsure:

Replaced the fuel pump for the 3rd time. Hopefully the revised version of the Delphi fuel pump will be better. Really thinking about adding a trap door in the floor of my DCSB.

Looks like you're a prime candidate to join the "just needs a fuel pump" group on Facebook. All they do there is cut access panels on truck beds lol

Do you tend to drive until you are running on fumes? An empty tank will damage fuel pumps. I usually fill at a half tank, but that's probably overkill.

I have a double cab short bed. I think I'd have to cut the actual floor of the truck

My new pump that was only 1 month old started making a horrible noise. Dealer said the pump is going out. I never run on fumes. The original pump was 10 yrs old. Last two lasted months

Well then I guess it's not an overheated pump. Scratch that reason off the list.

Sorry to hear this. My son just cut a trap door in his 3rd Gen 4Runner for an easy change out. Worked out well. I could not see him (us) dropping the fuel tank.

Wow. I drove into work this morning - I can not believe the difference the new ball joints made. I don’t know how to describe it. The front end just felt tight and bumps were more smooth.

I should have probably changed these out a long time ago; but I just didn’t know they were bad. I think maybe the stiff lift kit masked over the issue. :notsure:
