Did some night fishing last night. Not a bite. I'm still hoping for my first top water bass bite, but they didn't want the wacky worm or the chatterbait either.

Loud... As I got older I have tried to get everything in my life quieter. My Thrush muffler days were long ago.

My Farmall 140 had a reasonably quiet muffler when I got it however it was positioned so the the exhaust was out the front -- If you walked around the front of the tractor it was right at ear level. First time that happened to me looked like a scene from the Benny Hill Show -- the second time the muffler went in the metal pile.

:amen: Yeah... I do (or have done) all kinds of stuff, but I'm not all that good at much of it...

I truly admire the wood guys: they shape, sand, stain and make beautiful stuff -- I personally have never got along with a piece of wood. With metal at least you can grind it off and try again, or smack it with a hammer... :anonymous:

@MattCowsmasher I'm going to send you this sample and see if it fits. I had to guess how far away the pins are from the edge and want to make sure it works before doing the real thing

I put the pins .0625” from the edge so I could use a 1/16” end mill.

Just make sure you take the slack outta the tape. Keep an assortment of Matchbook covers, popsicle sticks, guitar picks & rat tail combs right handy.

:annoyed:At least you don’t have to bust through a foot of ice to get at ‘em.

Yep, was trying a black buzzbait last night. Didn't check water Temps but our nighttime air Temps are in the 70s the last few weeks and I know bass are spawning all over. I hate to blame the pond but maybe there are truly no bass in it lol.
