Recap of the last 2 months.

I bought a Traeger at Costco in early February, then it got balls cold so it sat in the garage for a few weeks. I cracked open the box only to be greeted with this:

Their support line sent me a new lid almost immediately but noting for the barrel for weeks. I got a hold of them again and they said 2 weeks. Two weeks later, nothing. Got a hold of them a 3rd time and, despite now having barrels, they were waiting for more before they sent mine out then they were going to send me JUST the barrel so I'd have to disassemble the pellet hopper from the original smoker to put it on the new one. I'm not opposed to that but I don't think I should have to fix what they messed up. Took some finagling but they finally agreed to just send me an entire new grill and I'm sending them an entire grill back.

The new one damn well better not be busted up, too, or it's going back to Costco.

Thanks for the input guys. Our autocross events usually run Saturday and Sunday, so leave Friday and spend a couple nights near the event. The closest event is two hours away, the furthest being 5-6 hours away. The reason I was looking into diesels is because I figured a 28ft trailer with two cars, a toolbox, extra wheels and tires, and whatever else would probably be too much of a drag on a gasser. I couldn't see a gas engine getting anything remotely good for gas mileage doing that kind of towing.

What is that, a portable substation?

I could rewire the trailer lights on it, that's about it

Yep, they call it a mobile sub. It looks pretty complicated and weighs over 100,000 lbs. we have to get a permit to move it.

Looks kinda like a swamp cooler to me, or a vented battery box. We're not looking at anything new, pretty much exclusively older stuff like this. Same for tow rigs, mostly early 2000's since that's the only thing remotely affordable for a couple weekend warriors

Just a little bigger. Barely noticeable.
