I don’t air down


Nothing to forget

 

I forgot mine (and the Deflators) because it's sitting on my bench.
I have plans to get a Fat50 Ammo can. Do a few mods to it, and keep it comfortably inside, to avoid damaging it.
Last trip out of town, I was "suppose" to get a couple, but I got busy doing other things when I made the trip.
I was a snoozer!!!!

 

It’s life changing and really nice on crappy fire roads. Id say 100% necessary when doing some harder trails. The granite in CA can get really slick.

 

Don’t have the time, every days a race and the last thing I wanna do at the end of it is stop and air up.

 

You're talking to a brick wall on this one lol. We've all tried, I suspect he actually does air down but just tells us he doesn't. Although when we met up in Moab he lived up to his word and didn't do it. Maybe for show.

 

I really liked the difference in airing down. The cushy feeling, compared to standard highway pressure, is night and day.

In many situations too it's the difference between getting stuck and not getting stuck.

 

+1 The VIAIR 300P in case fits perfectly behind the driver's seat slid all the way back. Stauns and pressure gauge go in the center console.

 

I went down to ~12 last time I went camping and will air down every time from now on. Washboards are hell on the forest roads here

 

Yep that's the same compressor I have. I keep everything in it's carrying case though, deflators too because I lose the F'ing things every time I try keeping them somewhere else. But it all fits nicely behind the seat.

 

even waiting for my 20$ shitty walmart compressor to air up wont phase me, gives u a time to chill and breath before getting back on the road

 

Btw I had a good time at Pismo/ Oceano Dunes SVRA. I went solo and only saw ATVs and UTVs in the real dunes off the sand highway so I didn't go too deep but would again with buddies and a KERR. Hopefully it stays open.

Alright! I thought I was the only one who doesn’t air down. I’ve wheeled Poison Spyder, Flat Iron Mesa, Top of the World, Rose Garden Hill, Ophir, Black Bear, Imogene, Red Cone, Old Chinaman Gulch (in rain), Pismo Beach, the washboard on Hole in the Rock, and snow on Switzerland Trail - all at sky high 40 psi. No issues getting stuck. I let my suspension handle the ride.


Oh - I did need to winch up the V notch at OCG in the rain but everyone else was too. It did not matter if you were aired down or not.
I do air down occasionally but only to appease my fellow trail riders @johntoyota and @Zizzle

 

How did Hells Gate treat you aired up? Oh wait, you aired down.

 

Moab trails the rock is so grippy I'm not surprised you can get away without airing down.

 

Lol yeah fuck that in this kinda shit.
