How did you put down the deposit? If it was a credit card, call them to track it down.

 

Originally it was supposed to be some online app but we asked if they did PayPal and they said yes. So we sent it through PayPal. We emailed PayPal to tell them but they said they will contact them and we have to wait to give them a chance to respond.

 

My PayPal is connected to a credit card. I have had a couple of problems in the last 10 years and my credit card company took care of it before PayPal could even respond. I have found that PayPal is slow to react. Good Luck.

 

They can be a little slow, but they almost always side with the buyer.

A few years ago, Amazon shipped us a couple of strobe lights you put in your attic to keep critters out by mistake. We let them know, and they said we could keep them. They cost like $150 new, so we put them on eBay. Some jackass bought one, then shipped it back to us because he said it made the squirrels even angrier, and demanded his money back. We told him that if it came back in sellable condition we would consider. It came back all chewed up and dirty, so we refused. But, Paypal sided with him even after we sent pictures.

 

There are too many low lifes out there, just playing on people's emotions, especially when it comes to pets.

 

When buying puppies from a breeder that you can’t visit ask them to place something in the photo with the puppy in question. We ask for a piece of paper with our name on it. This helps thwart the scammers as they only have the photos that they saved off of the internet and photoshopped images aren’t too difficult to spot.

All of the ones my wife asked to do this never replied back except the ones we ended up getting our puppy from.

Wow, that's kind of shitty of them. I'm surprised that it could be refunded considering the condition.
I had read somewhere that eBay would not use PayPal as their primary payment method. I still used it a couple of months ago.

Was it a specific breed she was after? One of my best memories as a kid was going to the RSPCA (UK dog rescue) and choosing a dog. Even though Bracken pee'd all over me the first time I held him it was still a good day

 

I have tons. She makes the weirdest faces and sits in the weirdest ways

I know! I had the same reaction when he returned the things, he seemed so mad at us, like we designed the thing. I thought it was a joke at first, but he was seriously pissed. Apparently they went nuts when he hung that thing up. We kept the other one, and I found it when we moved again and just hung it in our attic. No squirrels. At least not angry ones.
