My 3rz just went 2 months ago i swapped over a jdm motor 3rz so far been good. Looked good inside at out

if you go my route don’t rush it look around and make certain that’s the one you want. Some will even do a compression test for you.

I found the NGK sparkplug wires do not make full contact with the spark plug. Toyo part for this, I can feel it snap on to the plug when pressing in.

I just bought a JDM engine from a supplier here in Ohio and will have it swapped out.
The engine from JDMofOhio.com is $1750 shipped and the family-friend excellent auto shop quoted me $1750 to install.
Hopefully, this will be the end of this saga.

My compression numbers were low even with a bit of oil added to the cylinders, so unfortunately a new head will not resolve this pretty clear indications of piston ring blow-by.

Have you done a leak-down test to actually confirm that it's rings? Could also be worn valves/seats and/or combination of both.

Nope, but the new engine has already been delivered and a full heart transplant will give me more long-term reliability, I feel.
