What made it such a bitch, the headliner removal? Also, how many sq ft did the roof take?

 

Clear tint will still block UV, which if you are in a climate with high heat can make a world of difference in how cool the interior is. As soon as my tiny hit installed on the way home it was 5° warmer but the a/c kicked on much less (or at lower fan speed).
So for me I did it to increase comfort in the cab and reduce potential sun damage to the dash.

Not yet in the truck. I only had time to install it and verify it was working. With that said, I use this same QI charger in my work van and have found it to be very reliable. Regarding speed of charging, I never really paid attention to how fast it is. I drive for hours at a time and by the time I get to where I’m going my phone is always fully charged.

 

I ordered a ktjo drivers side grab handle. This was round two and I pre-ordered it But I got a shipment notification on Saturday. It’s current status is label created still awaiting the package

they didn't stick on as well as the factory ones, just a dab of shoe goo glue in the knob and it's on there.

Correcting toyotas mistakes

 

Yea, you've got to remove quite a bit of pieces to get the headliner to drop down. Lots of small plastic bits that can break if you're not careful. Plus once the headliner was dropped, I just had to reach in and roll this stuff on because there was no way I was fully removing the headliner from the truck.

 

What exactly am I looking at?

Installed running boards aka fake me out sliders. Looks very close to Cali Raised and a third of the price.

 

Im only going that route after all else fails.

After further inspection(and talking to the Yota tech), I found a spot on a tube that runs up the filller pipe and goes into the tank(the one that requires the tank to be replaced as it cannot be removed, apparently). So I am hoping that this is the problem and I am attemting to do an adhesive sealer repair on it. We'll see if I am successful in a week or so.

If that fails, I will try splicing a hose in where the damage is. I am just trying to exhaust all the "not having to remove the tank" options first.

It won't hurt the truck to drive, so I don't have to worry about getting it done asap.

 

Cool. I'm quite disappointed with the USB port above the existing QI charger both of which charge at very slow useless really rates

 

I started thinking about getting running boards because my wife comments every time she gets in the truck. I don't need sliders or any of that I just need a step so she can get in and out. How much did those cost?

 

Washed the truck today that's not even a year old and felt a little bad that I've accumulated this many pinstripes. That said, it means I'm having fun.
