    Ok guys I installed a snorkle on my truck a couple of weeks ago and lately I've been getting a check engine light on acceleration, scanned the truck and it shows p0171 twice and p0174 once, all lean codes on banks 1 and 2, does that have to do with the snorkle or do you guys think it's something else?

    did you remove the stock airbox? (then forget to plug the vacuum line for the FPR back in?) or forget to plug the PCV pre throttle body side tube back in. Pics of engine bay would help greatly.

    I'll get pics as soon as I get off work but I checked all vacuum lines and they're on and not leaking

    You could try disconnecting the battery. Give your terminals and posts a cleaning while your at it. When you reconnect and drive it, it does a relearn thing, maybe it’ll solve the problem. There was no cel before the snorkel install I’m assuming

    Installing the snorkel shouldn't throw a lean code, lean codes are usually from vacuum leaks or something wonky with the MAF sensor. Since it happened right after snorkel install, assuming you didn't forget to reconnect a vacuum line (or tore one), I would suspect that your MAF might need cleaning. At least that's what I'd try next. And make sure your battery connection is good and clean like mentioned above.

    Only use MAF cleaner for the MAF sensor, not generic electronic parts cleaner

    Cel= check engine light.

    In agreement with above, use only maf sensor cleaner, don’t touch the sensor with the straw.

    The circled part was the only part removed for installation of the snorkle. All vacuum lines are on and not rotted. I'll be checking the MAF sensor soon

    You didn't happen to replace the air filter with an oiled K+N did you?

    You should contact them and just ask if they have any ideas, maybe an easily overlooked mistake that they have dealt with in the past

    If you unlatched and removed the air filter box, as if you would if you’re changing the air filter, there’s one I missed in the rear area. When I cleaned my maf & throttle body, I removed mine. Putting it back together there’s a vacuum hose sticking up I couldn’t find where to connect it.

    Scroll down to the picture, front and center hilighted white.
