Didn't do anything big, but removed old stickers and replaced with one that had Toyota retro colors. I have a badge on the front grille with the same colors from TacoVinyl. I think it flows nice. Way better than the black and red I had before.

I installed a product called gapshield to cover the gap in the tailgate to keep out the sand, gravel, debris that tends to fall into the gap. Works as stated by the manufacturer. Satisfied.

On a road trip up to Big Sur for the kids spring break. The first night, we dispersed camped on Figueroa Mountain above Santa Barbara in the Los Padres National Forest. Picked a perfect spot to set up for the night right before dark with 360 degree views below us. After some fun around the campsite, the next morning we finished the loop through the mountain on Figueroa Mountain Rd and stopped where we wanted andplayed in the creek and climbed some boulders. We got to have some fun in the truck as well.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Once we left the mountain, it was Solvang for some Bratwursts for lunch, then onward towards Monterrey. We had to make one quick stop at the Firestone Walker brewery of course. Tomorrow we will be getting to Big Sur!

Looks like a fun trip! Just a heads-up, don’t think you’ll be able to make it all the way up hwy 1 to Monterey because of the landslide that took out a portion of the road.

Thanks! Yea that’s the only reason why we are headed to Monterey right now actually. We were planning on doing the 1 all the way to Big Sur but we are coming up 101 to Monterey, then down to Big Sur from there.

Hope you guys have a great trip. Traffic into Monterey from 101 shouldn’t be too bad on a weekday but on a weekend you’ll need a lot of patience. I’ve learned to get up and at it early on the weekends around here if I want to get anything done in a timely manner. :D

What kind of box? I'm looking for one and that looks like a good balance between storage and not taking a lot of room

With you on that. I have had at least 10 boxes. This Leonard is by far the best I ever had. It also comes in a "skinny" for short beds. Mine was $300.

Haha, tell me about it. The boyfriend almost has a heart attack everytime we return and I'm driving (which is why I back in). I will definitely consider the garage size on our next home. Didn't know that was a thing - newb with the first home
