i ran the mishimoto 160 for a couple months and had terrible gas mileage, high idle, and the truck never warmed up above 165*. I went back to URD's 170 and havent looked back

Seems like overkill unless you’re on the track or have a sleeved motor.. its a quality piece, it just works too good!

I switched out the mishimoto for the motorad 160.. WITH a the sleeved motor- the mishomoto seemed to be overkill. I currently run high 180s-190s which is what I'm shooting for.

I finally pulled the trigger and bought one myself. JustDSM already flashed a spare ECU for me. Just need to buy some credits and start the process.

Hey everyone, been creepin on this thread for a hot minute. Really appreciate everyone's input/ideas/thoughts.

Huge shoutout to @JustDSM and his badass tune. Many thanks, bro. The throttle response is remarkably better and shifting seems more crisp; can't wait to play with the truck some more. I'm super stoked to see what's possible once the LT headers, Y pipe and exhaust arrive. And eventually... the SC.

Need a little quick input. I did my URD longtubes and URD tcai today. I’m supposed to do my hptune tomorrow or sometime relatively soon. I don’t have the time to go through 365 pages. Can someone start me off with the initial steps to prep myself prior to doing the read process. Don’t I need to download the program into my laptop? And a specific version......

Highly recommend @JustDSM for your tuning needs. Helped me with every question and the truck is running better than it ever has. My truck is stock, but I wanted it to run with more throttle response and less revhang/sloppy feel. The HPtuners mpvi2 is exactly what I wanted and Justin was extremely helpful.

    Good Afternoon Everyone!

I recently purchased my 2nd Tacoma, a 2015 DCSB TRD Offroad A/T. My first Tacoma was an 08 TRD Offroad with an MT. I owned it for six years and put over 100k miles on it, with lots of fun mods in between. After selling that and getting into something else for a year, I had a pretty life-changing event and my father passed away this last November, 10 days before my daughter was born. I'm 28 and he was 66 - he should have had a few more years here.. I haven't really spoken up about this and I'm not trying to gain your sympathy or anything, I'm just trying to vent a little I guess.

That being said, I knew I needed to get back into something to get me back into the groove of life - to find something that got me excited - and I absolutely hated what I was driving. So I bought another Tacoma, about 3 weeks ago.

I have spent the last 2 weeks reading this entire thread from start to finish. ALL 365 pages, before making a single post.

In that time, I have purchased an HP Tuner, loaded @JustDSM 's tune onto my truck (with the help of @nd4spdbh trans tune, of course) and I have had nothing but smiles the whole way.

I've already reached out to a few of you and you know who you are, but I just want to give a big shout out to all of you and how awesome I think it is that you have openly collaborated and shared all of your knowledge with all of us Tacoma nuts.

    BIG SHOUT OUT TO: @JustDSM @nd4spdbh @loginfailed @Hacktacular @Torspd @Roostfactor @mightytacoman @12TRDTacoma @HPTuners @OVTune and MANY MANY MANY more of you!!!

Seriously, thank you guys for showing me the way back to something that lights a fire in me.

Cam gears are ordered. Dyno's are coming. Big things are happening and all of your are F***ING AMAZING!
