Yeah, the rear relocate + hammer hangers is the path I'm looking to go down. If the 5160s are that bad I may just skip the whole 6112 step and just go straight to the high end stuff.

Honestly the 6112’s are amazing for the money if you don’t need adjustability but I just wish they made a better valved shock for the rear to suite them.

Yeah, I think I'd be happy with the 6112’s for a while, I just don't see the point if there isn't a decent option for the rear. And I think I'm too anal to mix shock brands

I mustve missed the thread where you can fit 35s on stock ride height on a third gen, sheeeesh. Looks good.

It is not at all common knowledge, and it does still take work.

yeah but back when I joined in 2017, all I seen was "whats the biggest tire I can fit with no lift" and the answer was no 35s for 2nd gens. Just wasnt aware of simple CMC and pinch weld you can tuck in 35s. The more I know.

I don't know if it's still applicable for 2nd gens, most guys in this thread are 3rd gens.

Just an FYI, the narrow width is the reason why the tires are easier to fit. 12.5" wide will rub way more even with a smaller 33.

For sure, but thinking of the amount of work with trimming and stuff I thought I was going to have to do then it should be easy. its between 285/75 or 33/12.5
I am trying to avoid 285/70 unless a deal come up

Socalexpeditions isn't stock ride height and has done significantly more cutting to fit the 12.5s though.

    Stock-ish
Been running the 33x10.5 for the last 5,000 miles and they have been phenomenal. Up to the mountain passes about 5 days a week all winter and a couple wheeling trips. Just ordered the 35x10.5, should get them next monday. Leave for Moab next Thursday  ps I will have these 33s for sale once the 35s are on if anyone is interested, 5k miles on them, like new.

I need to find a loading ramp to really flex the front to the bumpstops. For now it's almost as though these 35x10.5"s can fit without trimming :anonymous:

Wheels are Konig Six Shooter 17x8", 21 lb each. They're stamped 0mm offset but measured closer to +10mm, which I suspect helped with the clearance.

So far the tires are quieter on the highway than the worn load range C Goodyear Duratracs they replaced. Speedometer error is about 10% comparing against Google Maps GPS.

They look great! I need to go in and do some more hammering on my wheel wells. I’ve found a few places were I can rub pretty good. The Kenda’s still fit way better then 315’s though. What suspension and alignment are you running up front?

I have Mevotech (reboxed SPC) UCAs set to "E" position and the stock LCA cam bolts set to max caster (front cam all the way in, rear cams all the way out). Shocks are Icon 2.5"s with 700# springs set to achieve 2.7" lift over stock. The same alignment setting caused my wheels to rub the LCA at full steering lock with 2nd gen TRD OR wheels shown in my sig. That rub has been eliminated with the 17" Konigs.

If I had stock bumpers, I'd probably rub the fenderliner plastic in the front.

Anyone else find these tires stink? I had the tires delivered in March and mounted last week. They still stink up the garage (presumably from rubber outgassing).
