Well first yota ever, has 126 miles after 3 days of owning it and my wife is in love with it. Bought her a f150 3 years ago and just to big for her so she seen the tacoma and my pocketbook got lots lighter. 2021 MGM TRDOR and she already started looking at mods. So down the rabbit hole I go!

Just over 5 years now, and it was my first Tacoma. Third Toyota truck. Previously had a 2004 4.7L Tundra then a 2009 5.7L Crewmax Tundra. If I could go back 5 years in the past, I’d have just kept the darn Tundra, haha. I really miss the V8 power and now that I have a 2nd kid on the way, the added space would be very nice to have back. I downsized as I was just a single dude living with some roommates at the time. But, 5 years later I’m married with a toddler and another on the way.

My bet is I stick with the taco for a couple more years but if we have a 3rd, there’s zero way I’m easily fitting three car seats in the back of a Tacoma. A Crewmax or F150, sure. So that’ll be the logical next step. The wife just got a 2018 Crosstrek (in 2018) and I think it’ll be OK for a while, but no 3rd row. Physically it’s not much wider than the Taco but it’s a lot less cramped in the back, even for a compact car.

I think I’ll make it to 100K easily, I’m at 80K right now. Had 120K on the Tundra in 2015 when I traded for the Taco, so I suppose if I had kept it, I’d be at 200K currently.

My 2017 (New to me in 2020) is my first tacoma but not my first toyota. My first toyota was a 1996 4Runner with over 260K when it was sold. My second toyota was a 2000 Tundra which has over 210K and my brother now has the pleasure of driving. Hoping this tacoma last just as long as the other two, however I will do a better job of actively fighting rust on this one!

Is the ride/wind noise/road noise more quiet in the 2021?

First Tacoma, had it about a month. 2015 Utility Package with 35K on the ODO. I had been borrowing my buddy's '02 Tacoma for dump runs and camping trips for years. When the 35 year old station wagon was on it's last legs, started searching for a 2nd Gen Tacoma.

Yes! Significantly better. My 2012 was lifted on 10 ply Cooper STT Max tires so ride and tire noise isn’t apples to apples. But wind noise is significantly less

First taco for me. I've had it just under 4 months, about 4,000 miles on it and I love it.

First was a '01 extra cab 4x4 bought used in '02 with only 3k miles. Lifted on 33's and drove it for 7 years and 108k miles including several off-road trips per year. Then bought a new '09 DCSB TRD sport 4x4 in Jan '09. Still have it now with 212,500 miles. Don't off-road this one though but it has been lifted on 33's since 2 months old. No plans to sell this one anytime soon. Still runs and looks great.

I bought mine a year ago next week. It is my first "new" vehicle with less than 75k miles on it. It is my first Taco but not my first Toyota truck. I have had multiple trucks from 81-87.

I have wanted one for along time and just could not talk myself into the payment. I picked the perfect time to do it right at the beginning of covid before the prices shot up. Within the first year I owe less than what the truck is worth by a large margin. Its actually worth more trade in wise than I paid for it in total last year.

Bought new 12/28/19. 4th one. All extremely high mileage and reliable trucks. Hence, number 4.

First Tacoma. Bought it in February this year. 2,500 miles. Looked for a long time for the exact trim/color/price. Loving it so far.

Yeah, that was a great truck. I probably would still have it if the bed didn’t look like Swiss cheese and rotting out on me. The cab is still in excellent shape. But the bed, not so much. Had almost 200,000 miles on it and still ran as good as the day I drove it off the lot.
