Need help before buying new tires

I've tried to search and read different threads on here, but not finding any solid info to help me decide on what tire size I can/should get with the new wheels and new SPC UCAs I have ordered.

Wheels are the 17" TRD wheels ( I think several call them SEMA wheels?)

The dealership I ordered the wheels from said they have 4mm offset, making the overall track width about an inch wider than what my stock 16" steel wheels give me. With buying new wheels with a different offset and the added adjustment from the UCAs I'm kind of flying blind on what tires will fit and what will not. Keep in mind that I DO NOT want any tire rub and I'm not trimming any parts of the truck.

I'm steering towards 265/70/R17 size tires, but if 285s will fit without any problems I'd like to know.

I have the Bilstein 5100 3" lift from TOYTEC and I'm upgrading the UCAs in the next couple weeks.

285's should fit with some trimming and a CMC. Then there's all the other things like gas mileage, acceleration, etc.
Lots of threads on here about running them. A google search will give you all the info you need.

 

Stick with 265. You will have to trim for 285

about 2.5-3 inch lift here with those exact wheels and spcs. I went 275/70/17 Falken Wildpeaks. A bit of trimming due to rubbing when I turned left or right and compressed, but every truck is different. SPCs are set differently as well. Just research. Your question has been hammered some may times it's used as a MEME.

 

I know it has haha. But I was unsure how this was all going to fit together since my 265/75/r16 tires already rub some on the UCA and some on the frame when at full steer lock with the stock 16" wheels. I've been cruising the threads on here regarding the subject. But so many of them turn into something off topic or a bunch of "IMOs" of what each person should/need to do that I can't make sense what the answers are. And I thank you for giving me the simple setup you have and how it worked for you. Anyways, I've got it. Sticking with the 265's and ordering them now.
