It's funny cause in my experience there are two type of motorcyclists; the ones that change their bike every year or the ones that change only when circumstances force them to.

For myself, I've had my speed triple for 6 years and don't see myself changing from it. A perfect blend of power (almost too much), noise, handling, and hooliganism.20180414_150117.jpg

I'm not hating, even if you did get a different 600cc bike every year. Just making a general observation about bike owners.

The speed and the scrambler are very different bikes, so you've piqued my curiosity about what else you owned in between those two classes.

The only other bikes I've even considered getting are the r nine t or the super duke, which have some similarities to the speed.

I think this was the progression, starting around 2010:

    2004 Suzuki GS500
    2001 Honda CBR F4i
    2008 Harley Nightster 1200
    2007 Triumph S3
    2014 Yamaha FZ09
    1991 Honda Nighthawk 750
    1973 Honda CB350
    2007 Yamaha C3
    2017 Kawasaki Z125 Pro
    2018 Harley 48 115th anniversary
    2019 Harley Softail Slim
    2013 Triumph S3
    2019 Harley 48
    2020 Ducati Scrambler

I mostly dont keep bikes past 15k miles. The FZ09 is the only bike that I kept for 5 years. It was really fun. The Scrambler is probably #3 in the list. #1 was FZ09, #2 Z125, #3 Scrambler

All this talk about bikes... I’ve been trying to convince the wife to sell our harleys and a get a pair of supermotos/ADV/dual sports. We could trade them in and $$ for other things. @samer312 those super dukes look super fun, torque for days.

My BMW roadster was 15 years old with 165k miles on it when I traded on my current Triumph Tiger. the BMW was tired but never had any major issues; only did the scheduled maintenance and changed the tires. I'm hoping the Triumph has a similar service life for me. My son had a 2012 Speed Triple - fun bike but I know I'd at least lose my license if I rode that bike on a regular basis; hard to keep the front wheel on the ground. My Tiger is fun, but a different kind of fun.

I'm a have to dig up some of my motorcycle photos. Been around the country twice on two wheels.

Probably my favorite bike was my 2010 Concours 14. Flying couch. Close number two would be the 2006 Triumph Sprint ST.
